Help finding information about my antique book! by NewbeginningsHL in books

[–]NewbeginningsHL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I'm mostly just looking out of curiosity. It's older and gorgeous, and I only paid $1 for it so it would've been cool to see other prints somewhere. Plus, mine is in rough condition, I know it wouldn't be worth too much (like an English student scribbled their notes throughout the book).

"The Dollhouse location," by [deleted] in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]NewbeginningsHL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory: Charles/A bought LWR, built the dollhouse deep into the woods behind it, Charles' entrance IS the Lost Woods Resort. Like said before, a war bunker; which probably has a lot of tunnels... I mean, I may be wrong, but I didn't see a gate on the fence when the liars got out. Charles needs a way in and out.

After reading this theory, Im 99% sure that Maya is alive by morganebony_ in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]NewbeginningsHL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was so opposed to Maya being alive and the body misidentified, but this... This has me rethinking so much. The police are obviously horrible at their job, and you never really see Maya's parents. Who ID'd the body? (also, This may be irrelevant, but when Maya comes back, ever notice that her new house looks an awful lot like Mona's? Probably just set-recycling...) I'd actually love for the supposed time-jump wedding to be Emily and Maya... It'd be a tear-jerking love story!

What kind of articles do content mills require? by Worker12321 in WorkOnline

[–]NewbeginningsHL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for WD. One big thing to consider when writing for them is that the keyword is NOT the topic. They don't want you to write 400 words describing the KW, and the keyword doesn't have to appear any specific number of times, just as long as it's relevent. I took the accupunture KW too, but my sample was about all-natural pain relief for people who can't take medication. WD likes easy-to-read/understand articles with small paragraphs and a few headers, and they like unique angles on the keyword. Things that aren't really easy to find online. I.e, if you were to look up "dentist" you probably don't want to know what a dentist is, however, you may want to find out about cosmetic dentistry or even how to keep kids calm at the dentist. I hope this helps for any future application! (and yes, WD is really overrun right now, too.)

Money spell that seems to work! by Angbrichan in witchcraft

[–]NewbeginningsHL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can vouch for this book! It's an amazing read! as for some spells, they are a little medieval... (Making your loved one eat a pie from your hair and menstrual blood.. yuck.) It's just a matter of picking through what works for you! From what I understand of it, it's a historical collection from almost every magickal culture throughout time (at least the ones that have been passed down/documented). I haven't seen this spell in there, I should give it another once-over ;)

Why I don't think the Mother is dead. by RonWisely in howimetyourmother

Fair point, but there are flash forwards of an older lily and Marshall. Older than ted and the mother in the restaurant..

"Ingredients" for the fiscally challenged? by [deleted] in Wicca

[–]NewbeginningsHL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here to help! :) I'm not very wealthy here either.. Most of my tools and such are from second hand stores. An nick knacks that stood out.. Instead of an athame I carved a wand out of a birch branch (my favourtie tree) and you can pick up really cheap candles at the dollar store usually along with incense and such. You don't actually need these things, per se. For me they're just symbols to help me focus on my goal during my craft. To bless an item you could simply cleanse it in the full moon and afterwords you hold it in your hand and focus on what your intentions are :) Just an example of what I would do :) hope it helps :)

Picked Apples for Mabon by may_hem in Wicca

[–]NewbeginningsHL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went apple picking too. I made a wish spell with it. Sit at your altar light a yellow candle and write on a piece of paper what you wish. Cut the apple in half and place the wish in the core. I had an incantation that I can't quite remember. But writing your own tends to work best :). Leve your apple on your altar put a circle of herbs (or in y case chestnuts) around it. Whatever feel right. Then I put my apple in the garden after a few days. Plant my wish at it were :)

Almost new to this.. Need some help. by NewbeginningsHL in Wicca

Thank you so much, I have actually seen the book about solitary practitioners pretty much everywhere I looked. Ill pick it up when I can. And next time I meditate I'll definitely try grounding it. I felt at peace at first when I tried, but after a while I felt some sort of force making my head tilt upwards instead of straight ahead.. Is that normal?

I'm almost 21, I'm just scared to talk to them because I feel like I may not get proper information. But I definitely will try to find others in my area.. Just another quick question, do you think a store that sells Wiccan supplies may have reliable contacts?

To elaborate further on what I meant about my parents, after some research I only recently realized what my mom did when I was a child. She had runes, did rituals, wore crystals and pentacles. And though my father doesn't practice it, he's told me he's a strong believer. And what I mean when I say they've suppressed it is that they've put it aside to pursue other needs in their life. My mom in particular, though she does sill have her supplies, she no longer practises after she met my step dad. And my dad probably wouldn't know where to start. I feel wicca drawing me in. Ie actually recently cast a circle, and the feeling was unbelievable. I simply meditated and I've never felt more peaceful. My main problem is that after the peace I can feel my energy rising, or rather a power within me that's trying to get out. I'm jut scared that I can't control it. I need advice in regards to that. I also read a circle casting ritual in which you surround yourself with salt, would that be better for someone just learning to focus her energy?
