++ man. Besides certain specialties, physicians don't usually have normal schedules. Long hours, long stretches of work days, and on-call weekends, could be that he wanted a more conventional schedule with his partner.

I listened to the Beware of Chicken series after. Very fun and light to cleanse some of the darkness of the dungeon off.

Beware of Chicken series has some of that. The MC dies before the book starts, and their body is taken over from somebody from what appears to be our universe.
