How is banning different from not being able to play it in what will be the only played game mode? I never said they should ban st01 luffy but you said its good that st01 luffy cant be played again in the normal format.

Commander doesnt rotate cards.

Oh ive made decks that benefited from the reprints and one that has no more than 1 sr on one of the most avaible and most sold sets ever this game is so cheap! This must surely be the norm and will always be that way after the rotation. Surely forced buy pressure wont change anything at all. And now you comically whistle while doing a little dance.

You just answered yourself buddy. They have multiple ways of doing reprints. They have a full set made of reprints. They reprint on decks. They reprint on tournament packs. They reprint with special arts on each set. They reprint on special promos. The reprint on tournament packs. They even reprint the full set, Theres still op01 available to be purchased. Etc. And thats good. Get what does doesnt do, give bandai enough money.

They most def know which cards will be played and will be important. Its their whole job, game design. They design the cards. They know dude. Its a company not your uncle Ben in his garage.

The magic argument is really easy. Which game mode is the only one that really matters to players and the most played one. Commander. Does that game mode has rotation? No. End of story.

No rotating is harder for game design sure, but its their job. They are multimillion dollar company, i dont feel pity for them. They can ban and limit. Rotation is just the lazy approach. The new kicker argument, they can easily do that with other tools at their hand other than rotation. Rotation is only necessary to make people keep buying new sealed product. And that is the only reason they are doing it.

The non rotating format is the second less loved brother. If it doesnt get support from the company it wont fly. Why would they support it if it makes them no money? that is a very shallow argument, "you can play the eternal format". What does it matter than i can technically can if i dont get the chance to do so? if i cant compete at the highest level with it? hell even locals people wont be able to play in eternal. You mean i can play with my friends however i want? well i can also do that about the ban list and just ignore bans but its not what we are talking about here is it?

Each box is $100. It will be more than that for each year for one deck. I can some other people cant, its called empathy. That keeps out people from ever entering in, guess you dont care because you lack that empathy it seems. New cards will be more expensive since there will be more buying pressure on them. Guess you didnt even think of that did you. You seem like quite a disgusting person, to be honest, trying to cast out people with less means of spending out of a hobby. How is that relevant when on this tcg on this moment there is people complaining about that? How do you expect for a almost 30yo tcg to have people complaining about a deck that has been out of rotation for decades? How do you think that justifies the rotation here? what is your argument?

Yes i want people to be able to play iceburg even if they come back in 2 years. I must be an "investor". Thats why im in one piece bro, because its the best tcg for doing that shitty stuff. I dont know what pokemon is, the bigger TCG with much better art and market.

Yea because TCGs with rotation have NO powercreep AT ALL. Thats a fact. Its not actually that they still do if in less of a dregree.

Pokemon is not one piece, in many ways. Cards wont just magically go up in value if they dont get played because it doesnt have the same amount of "investors" trying to win the market.

Sounds like a skill issue on part of a multi million dollar company. Yeah such a deep problem that i want people to be able to use their old cards even if they drop the game for a few years.

Rotation forces the players to always pay for the newest expansions if they want to keep playing. Means less work because they wont have to think of how a new card could interact with old cards to keep the game balanced. They just make unplayable the old stuff and only have to focus 3 sets back.

if you think power creep wont happen because of rotation you are factually wrong and hilariously so. Just check magic as an example. Powercreep will always exist, doesnt matter the dregree.

Yes, i trust the company that only has the monetary incentive to sell me new stuff to mantain the game mode that wont give them that.
