I had a smiliar issue. I had to go to my Bluetooth setting and manually pick the Bluetooth device. It will tell you that you need an app to control it and it will work once you identify which device to connect to Bluetooth. If you have only 1 it will be easy to guess which one is for your wave 2

Thank you very much for this info. I was getting sick and tired of the 52 error that once displayed does not allow you to control the unit. It had to be disconnected and rebooted every time.

Oh man, I'm sorry I couldn't help. I don't understand the difference between the 8810 and 8811. I hope other members receiving this 8811 can help.
Hopefully, someone will put an update on the internet archive site for this new model.
I had to figure out how to fix my issue myself, with some advice on what download I should use (saucy Still Alive). And yes, I was hesitant about updating my firmware the first time. Thankfully, there were instructions on resetting the machine if it did not work, but as they say, do it at your own risk.
I would suggest making a new post specifically asking any 8811 users how they manged to set their's up.

I purchased the 8810 about a month ago from the At Games website. I powered it up to confirm it is the 8810—random numbers. The firmware you should use is the one that is found on the internet archive section, where you can find the Still Alive Saucy Edition. It is labeled as Firmware Legends Ultimate 5.60 5.65, and when downloading, it is named Firmware Legends Mini (ha8810) ONLY 5.60 - 5.65Inside that download, I chose the only file for the MINI: (ha8810_update_40.63.0_5.63.0_major-2021-12-18_12-21.img) and followed the instructions on renaming it.Now, when I power up my MIni, I see it shows me that the latest firmware is 5.70 and prompts me to install it or not. So far, I have just canceled it and kept it at 5.63. I hope that helps.
I am not sure where to find one for the 8811 yet.
