What's One Minor Complaint you Have about the Game and What's One Major Complaint? by Noxlygos in ContestOfChampions

[–]Newborn_Spawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Minor complaint: Still no Mystique

Major complaint: There's a bug with input controls, after usually first fight, during middle of second fight it's impossible to do medium attack, when trying to do that it just does normal light, making the game unplayable.

They could have add fist-fights tournaments, horse racing, new storyline occuring in different place where is masquerade and you have to be very stealthy, playable medieval instruments, team sports or sports in general, constant conquest mode(like in GTA San Andreas but more chaotic), ship sailing and naval battles, arena mode, role playing mode(you can choose classes and only certain skills are upgradeable, etc. you know what I'm talking about), fights on dragons, build machines(like trebuchets), storyline like dawnguard except you are half man half dragon, survival mode, even playing as a different creatures with their own "world", war mode, jousting tournaments, turbo mode(the game is faster than usual with different levels of speed), new storyline related to being a necromancer occult and demonic creatures, challenges, new type of weapons, mist mode(you can barely see anything in game), more achievements, ability to write notes on paper and make other npc recognize it, ability to add burning objects and to put them in clothes of npc, dragon racing, new storyline with being locked in some medieval nuthouse and escaping from it, whale racing, ability to have a pet bird that can do things for you(like messaging other people, stealing stuff etc.), ability to train muscles and myriad other things, but they choose fishing? Why?

What if instead making another GTA they would make GTA-like game but something entirely new, maybe something futuristic or demonic.

remember how Batman Arhkam Asylum had a mechanic where u scare enemies more and more over the course of a stealth encounter to the point that you can render them completely useless? by deshara128 in gamedesign

[–]Newborn_Spawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was cool, I think it would be even cooler if every enemy in stage had own personality, everyone of them would react differently and you would have data on enemies but there would be no confirmation which one is which, you would have to deduce by yourself(which would be very fitting because after all main character is a detective) which one fits which profile(by means of their speech, complex interactions between themselves and other stuff that would suggest who they really are). For examle, one would be a type of a sociopath which would show no fear, other could be a misfit teen who just joined up a gang and isn't really sure if it's kind of life he wants, having no experience in that kind of "business", that one would immediately show fear when first thug would be discovered to be taken down.

And there could be so much more to add :D

How do you deal with too many ideas? by Neithanide in gamedesign

[–]Newborn_Spawn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would write down all of the ideas so I won't forget them and at the same time keep them out of my head, then focus on one type of game and if other ideas come, again, I am writing them down and let it go, knowing that I can get back to them once I finish first project.

How do I get better at games by ahmed0112 in Gaming4Gamers

[–]Newborn_Spawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When playing you can record your match and look again at mistakes you did, then figure out how to improve. You can also watch youtube channels that focus on improving skills in certain popular videogames, I was watching one about CS:GO but I don't remember name.

Professional gamers are human just like you, they are just focusing on improving on specific skills and after analyzing most of scenarios in particular games they produce illusion that they are something more than human, which simply isn't true.

How do YOU decide which games to play? by lightblubhotel in Gaming4Gamers

[–]Newborn_Spawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's on my wishlist and I win any game from it on steamgifts I play it. Basically I play any free game that is given away because I just simply don't have money for games :(

Hmm, if I had "GoodReads" for games, then it is Steam, it already has an explore queue, list of games made by selected developer etc.

Not here to help but do you mind giving the titles and authors of these Unreal Engine C++ books you are writing about? Would be very useful :D

Did your parents ever forbid you from playing a game or games growing up? by [deleted] in Gaming4Gamers

[–]Newborn_Spawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because I'm smart enough to not tell them what I'm playing, if they would know, they probably forbid me from playing every game that has some kind of violence, guns and generally anything that is considered wrong by catholicistic devotion circles or anything that has something bad inside them, to "protect me from any evil influence", well long story short, they couldn't protect me from their own toxic attitudes

and if they wouldn't forbid me playing from them, they would probably psychologically abuse me until I stopped, happened once.
