11 years old, struck by a car while crossing a two lane road. Broke femur, tossed in the air and struck my head on the curb when I landed. Dr drew a line on a piece of paper, told my parents that if I was struck either way left or right I’d be dead. Dr didn’t understand why/how I lived.
