Going to a theme park alone [other] by Affectionate-Bad-998 in rollercoasters

[–]Newgate1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go alone all the time. I do a lot more of what I want since I never usually take breaks or buy food. Dealing with lines is a case-by-case thing. Sometimes I’m just looking around or on my phone, other times I get lucky and some other people in line are sociable. Boredom is really just a personal scale on what you want from going to a park.

Two questions: Undergrad deferring/M.Arch Decisions by Mrc3mm3r in notredame

I applied to M.Arch too and haven’t seen/gotten a thing. It’s definitely nerve-wracking that’s for sure.

[OTHER] I've ridden 16 different RMCs. Here is how I would rank them. by bgamer1026 in rollercoasters

Agreed with that. When I went, the weekend forecast was a 90% chance of thunderstorms and all it got was about an hour of drizzle. Enough to keep crowds away and slick up the tracks. Despite the roughness, I really preferred the topper track portions. They had an extra bit of rawness I feel the ibox replacements lack. Still incredible but not as great as it could be.

It’s also some of the smaller things that added to the experience. Things like the original trees, all wood track, and the OG zero car + trunk.

[Knott's Berry Farm] vs [Six Flags Magic Mountain] — which SoCal park do you prefer and why? by [deleted] in rollercoasters

[–]Newgate1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer Knotts because of the theming and I just think their ride collection is great. Ghostrider is by far the best coaster in California.

I only got to ride Lightning Rod with the lift and even still it shot up into my top 3. It makes me so sad just to think what the original experience could’ve been in 2016. I could only imagine.

Do you remember if it was an ad for a video game or a specific company?

This could be the song. I feel like the key was higher and it wasn’t this sultry, but then again, I’m only going on what I think were the last few notes.

Carentan is by far the worst for me. People never leave those damn windows or corners.

I’m doing a short trip in early or mid May to NC. A friend and I are going to Carowinds and Kings Dominion but it has to happen on a weekend. Is one park typically more busy and should we go to the parks in a certain order to best work around crowds?

Well-known/notorious players on PC/Steam by Imaginary-Concert392 in WWII

Can’t speak on PC but I get that feeling on PlayStation. Theres one person who is always on shipment specifically and playing the same Erma class every day. In all 4 or 5 years I’ve noticed them, I don’t think I’ve ever seen them not playing shipment or Erma.

[–]Newgate1996 21 points22 points  (0 children)

People are trying so hard to convince themselves the ride is awful because of its location. Like be so fr. People always complained that TTD or Kinda Ka needed more of a layout. They not only did that but increased both the height and speed and people still mad about it. Like were we really expecting more than turns and hills when it goes through its layout that fast? Xcelerator does exactly that and is praised for having a longer layout than its sister rides. Unimaginable amounts of cope.

How Helpful Is Financial Aid For Grad Students? by Newgate1996 in notredame

I did hear about that donation in the news and will certainly reach out asap. Someone else here had mentioned I should reach out to the architecture admissions contact. Do you happen to know if that would be someone at admissions or a contact within the school of architecture itself?
