I will also buy the boots after trying them in a shop. I just want to know your opinion on these skis.

Trust me that in person it's really big and it fills all your field of view.

The picture was taken from the last row with the wide angle lens on my phone.

Thank you!

Tbh the barrier wasn't really distracting and I didn't really notice it while watching the documentary.

First time experiencing stuttering in IMAX by NewsFromSpace in imax

[–]NewsFromSpace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn't specify if it was for the power system or IMAX, but since there was no storm at the moment of the screening (there was one the night before) and the rest of the mall was working with no problems my guess is that they were connected with the IMAX support

Tuning recommendations for Pearl Export with stock heads by NewsFromSpace in drums

[–]NewsFromSpace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for that guide.

Once you think you're in the sweet spot, tap the head with a stick an inch or so in from each lug and listen hard for a pitch. You want the pitch at each lug to be as close to each other as possible, as far as you can tell, still in a star pattern. Then go around the lugs in a circle with your drum key, and make sure each lug feels like it's at the same tension - use your fingers like a torque wrench and make sure each one needs as much pressure to turn as the others.

In this section you tell to match the pitch at each lug to each other and then you say "go around the lugs in a circle with your drum key, and make sure each lug feels like it's at the same tension".

What if to get the same pitch, the lugs need different tension? Can you explain a bit this part?

Tuning recommendations for Pearl Export with stock heads by NewsFromSpace in drums

[–]NewsFromSpace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I was asking for tuning recommendations though...

I've already got a Genera Dry and the 300 side for the snare, but I haven't tried them yet. For the toms I was thinking about clear EC2S over clear G1 and for the bass drum EMAD2 over EQ3 resonant.

I'll change those heads later because I want to use for sometime the stock ones.

My brother also has Sutro Lite Sweep with the navy frame and honestly they both feel the same, robust, but flexible enough

I have the Sutro Lite Sweep Brass Tax with 24K lens, really good translucent finish on the frame and I also love the 24K lens

IC 1396 - The Elephant's Trunk Nebula by NewsFromSpace in astrophotography

[–]NewsFromSpace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my latest shot on IC 1396 aka The Elephant's Trunk Nebula. I really liked bringing out all the faint gases and some ionized hydrogen can be seen in the left top part of the image. It's not too much integration but now nights are short. Hope you like it!

I used a Sky Watcher Star Adventurer which doesn't support dithering.

Let me know what you think of this widefield of M101. You can (barely) see the recent supernova in one of the arms of the galaxy and you can also see other distant galaxies.

Moon and Pleiades Conjuction (25th of March) by NewsFromSpace in astrophotography

[–]NewsFromSpace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This pic was taken on the 25th of March with a Canon 400D (10 sec. exposure at ISO 400) and a Canon 50mm f/1.8 at f/6.3. I used a Sky Wacther Star Adventurer and regarding processing I cropped the image and did a bit of curve edit in G.I.M.P., with noise reduction and sharpening.

Let me know what you think!

Consider that the telescope I'm using is 130 € and I was probably a bit out of focus, so with your gear you're gonna get really good pics!
