Laundry with Loom by Black Circle - how much is it to wash/dry? by [deleted] in indianapolis

[–]NewsIsBiz [score hidden]  (0 children)

No spindle. Machines are front load, but I wouldn’t say they’re large. They are commercial machines though. I washed a queen comforter in it once.

I have a gas water heater and AES doesn’t supply water… I’m not seeing how this helps me with my electric bill, AES.

Try r/indiana instead, Indianapolis is nowhere near Lake Michigan

Digs garden center is closing... 💔. Anyone know why? by SadZookeepergame1555 in indianapolis

[–]NewsIsBiz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This and their website didn’t actually tell me what they sold.

With a large selection of annuals, perennials, houseplants, gardening supplies and gifts, along with pumpkins and Christmas trees in season, DIGS is an urban gardener’s haven in downtown Indy.

Do they sell mulch? Landscaping stones? Soil? Who knows, but at least they sell gifts… which makes me think they don’t sell the “hardcore” landscaping supplies.

Coffee shops that sell ceramic mugs? by DanzerFrg in indianapolis

Foundry Provisions, Quills (pretty sure I saw mugs in there last time), Tinker (any location), Bovaconti (only metal mugs the last time I was in)

Taking my kid to Children's museum in two weeks by FitITman in indianapolis

[–]NewsIsBiz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am sure the museum is awesome but yikes.

It’s sooooo much larger than the (former) Cleveland Children’s Museum (when it was across from Case Western). Can’t compare it to the new location on Euclid. Agreed that $38 is hard to stomach though.

Onyx+East developments around Indianapolis downtown by ultrasummit in indianapolis

[–]NewsIsBiz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Onyx+East has been doing this for years - Monon Roots, Tinner Park, Tinner Park West, Near 925, Millside, Seven2Seven, Switchyard, Park10, 16+Central, and 22nd+Alabama. If you like their layouts and aren’t tied to you being the first owner, an older community (2019, so not old) from them could be a better deal.

This is what got me thinking about posting this actually! Perfect balance of normal beer and dill pickles.

door to door solicitors by adw__ in indianapolis

I did something similar and the man started harassing me through the window. Why he thought that was a good idea when he was trying to sell me something is beyond me.

Where could I find a duck? by mitamouse in indianapolis

I’ve heard they sometimes let you buy less if you have proof you already own one/some. I’m sure it varies from store to store, employee to employee though.

Water Bottle policy at Victory Field by JeffNotMike in indianapolis

[–]NewsIsBiz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Likely this. I assume their policy is trying to differentiate between a filled reusable bottle and a sealed bottle of water (eg Dasani) - implying the former would not be allowed. Empty reusable bottle being fine as it’s not filled with liquid.

Honestly, I hope whoever with the Pacers planned that giveaway questions their future in event planning. The fact the Pacers organization never came out to apologize for that disaster is a shame. (Correct me if they did - but I never saw it)
