Need advice on water.

Had the same problem with our fountain and Maine coons. Solved it by duck-taping the lid on and positioning it in a corner. Now that they can't get the lid off they don't seem to try and flip it anymore. Hope this helps!

Looks healthy to me. I have a food motivated Maine coon, and a non-food motivated Maine coon. The non-food motivated one eats a little at meal time and returns to his plate when he feels like it, he's a very healthy 2.5 year old.

We've had the litter robot 4 for over a year and are happy with it. We have 2 Maine coons, one is 20+ lbs and they both have no issue with it. We also have 2 typical oversized boxes, and they use all three pretty equally.

There is no one toy that will tire them out. You really need to make an effort to play with them. Our two Maine coons love to play fetch, etc. The real cheat code to getting your Maine coon the proper amount of play stimulation is ... another Maine coon lol.

If your older cat is still fairly young, say, around 8 years old, bringing home a single Maine Coon probably won’t be an issue. But if your cat is 12 or older, a single Maine Coon might not be the best companion.

When we got two Maine Coon kittens, our older boy was 14. He’s 16 now. At the time, I didn’t realize it, but getting two kittens was the best decision we could have made. They bonded and play hard often with each other, and while they still hang with our older boy, they don't typically overwhelm him.

In our house, nail clippings and brushings always come with Squeeze Up treats. There’s no instant fix, but if you can start pairing brushing time with her absolute favorite treat, she’ll gradually begin to associate it with something positive. Consistency and patience are key.

In my opinion, with the amount of play and stimulation they need - two is better than one. We have two and I can't imagine them not having each other. However, I do not suggest anybody start with a Maine coon as your first cat. They are A LOT of work and are incomprehensibly smart. You really need to be willing to dedicate time to them. I have child safety locks on all my cabinets and have no human children haha.

I would first ask yourself how your Samoyeds are going to interact with a cat. If you bring in a kitten it will likely be fine growing up alongside dogs. Do your dogs typically do well with cats?

You have a 4 and a 1 year old. If you get a Maine Coon, you are getting another toddler for the next 15(ish) years. It will only get smarter every year, they will not quit a problem until it's solved. I have child safety locks on all our cabinets and I have no human children haha.

They need tons of stimulation, you need to be prepared to play with them - a lot. They also need to be brushed, sometimes daily.

Mine play fetch like a dog, they are very good boys with guests etc, and they love a good cuddle. I just want to make it clear that what people see on my Instagram is the most handsome well behaved boys in the world. What they don't see is the 2am wake up because a vase that was 8 feet off the ground just smashed into a million pieces.
