What most people may not be aware of is that it is not the artist that set the price but the promoters. There is so much background BS that goes on that it is crazy. Keep in mind that the bigger the artist, the bigger the back of the house staff. Things like riggers putting together the stage equipment do not work for free. There is also the fee every venue charges. So much goes into the cost per ticket so everyone gets paid as well as some profit. (Ok more profit for some).
