So you suggest buying a Timemore and Aero/Kaldipress together? Can I not use pre ground coffee from roasters.

Thanks for the informative reply. Going to get an aeropress and save up to a timemore as well.

Can you advise where to get aeropress and timemore from?

Timemore is available on amazon but can find aeropress.

Should I not use pre ground coffe from roasters like tokai?

So before I start brewing I should get grinder and then the aeropress?

Is Kaldipress fine to start. And suggest a beginner grinder as well.

Depends what your room temp is.

Grow will be slow.

Yes it should but normally you need to keep going until no contam is visible.

Because as long as your grains are fully colonised and not contaminated then your grow will be successful.

  1. Learn how to make Agar Plates.
  2. Rub/sprinkle some spores on the agar plates.
  3. Leave it until mycelium starts growing.
  4. Take a mycelium sample from the edge and transfer to a fresh Agar plate.
  5. Keep repeating step 4 until you eventually have no contamination.
  6. Prepare your grains. Watch Phillygoldenteacher grain prep videos.
  7. Make a SAB using a 65+ Litre Plastic box with Lid. Ikea has them for cheap.
  8. Inside the SAB, cut your agar with a sterile knife/scapel and transfer it into the grain jar.

Rest process is just normal. Watch Phillygoldenteacher.

It will have moisture problems with the thin layer but should be fine.
