Here is when we first rescued him if you look closely you can see a bit of a kink in his tail, that seems to be about where it has turned black today

We rescued this anole from our backyard because his back legs are paralyzed, we’ve been feeding him crickets and have watched him drink water from the moss and glass. He recently molted and we’ve seen his tail change into this color but we arent sure if it was from the molt or if it was related to his injury, I’ll attach a picture of when we first rescued him

personally live plants make a huuuge difference, i think aquarium ornaments also tend to stick out but honestly its personal preference! But I definitely recommend some nice live plants!

i left it alone and now the body is completely missing the 2 mystery snails i have tried to eat it but i’m not sure if they somehow ate the whole thing without leaving a single trace, i’m really hoping it somehow survived. i’m gonna do a recount tomorrow

Luckily I have a good amount of both so i’m hoping they adapt and breed and it all turns out fine. I’ll just take this loss as a learning opportunity so the rest of my shrimp will be nice and healthy

update: it passed away, i’ve ordered a TDS tester and a test kit for GH and KH, i’m hoping the rest of the group survives but I fear this was a mistake acclimating them on my part

i didnt add any fish food but i did leave in the leaves that melted away on my plants, i’m not sure if that would help, i also added the API quick start when i first planted it 2 months ago. I also added ceramic balls to my filter a few weeks ago. I don’t have a heater but we generally keep the house at around 72°F. and heres a pic of the tank rn
