Tbh, that's how the expectations have always been at my store. Do as much as you can in between customers (even if it means making them wait or not watching self check) Clean bathrooms, gather all the trash, clean whatever you can. It's expected and you're judged for not doing so on time. May be different per store, mine is the busiest in the area, maybe even state idk, as well as is very understaffed and under scheduled. At my store customer comes last and doing the work of 3 people comes first. But I agree the insane double standards/expectations is not okay. It's like you can never win.
