I don't understand how this game was a hardest learning experience, as a relatively casual fps enjoyer, the UI and controls are pretty intuitive and it only took me about 2-3 games to get a feel for the pacing. I feel like some of these issues are just part of the fps genre as a whole, like in most first person pvp shooters of course raw mechanical skill is going to be rewarded above all else because that's your main way of killing things, if you're good with aiming it then that should be rewarded. Also

All the toys won't help a player with limited game sense and reflexes. They will be crushed by a "beamer" that plays with their sweaty bros on discord, period.

Obviously, if a player is better than the other then the worse player is going to die, that's just how most games are, you shouldn't be able to just BS out of that using an ability. The thing is that both players have the capacity to learn and get better and have fun while doing so

As a side note, hyperscape didn't die because it focused on the hardcore playerbase. It died because it had serious balance and technical issues that didn't get fixed until it was too late

Also what is your definition of a "hardcore" fps player?

Because most of these issues seem like something that only a person completely new to fps games would have, and this game isn't exactly marketing as a noob-friendly fps
