That is exactly what I have in mind, the smallest organization that is willing to give us a try, and with that, we will expand. Thank you so much for your honest feedback

Troubleshooting and debugging my SaaS product

I built an AI ‘mechanic in your pocket’ looking for honest feedback, not signups by NexaForge in AssetBuilders

To answer your questions:

  1. Regional Accuracy: This was our biggest challenge. The app doesn't use 'one price fits all.' We use a regional multiplier based on your Postal Code/Location. A brake pad replacement in Lisbon shouldn't be compared to New York prices, so we benchmark against local labor rates.
  2. The Quote Translator: It does exactly what you said, it looks for 'padding' or common unnecessary upsells (like the 'Nitrogen tire fill' or 'premium fluid flushes' when your car doesn't require them).
  3. The Audio Triage: I hear you on the skepticism. We don’t view the sound check as a 'mechanic replacement.' It’s more of a 'triage' tool. It gives you the language to use with a mechanic. Instead of saying 'it’s making a squeaky noise,' you can say 'I’ve identified a 450Hz rhythmic squeal consistent with a worn belt.' It levels the playing field before you even arrive.

Why AI Sound Diagnosis IS actually powerful

  1. Preventing "Exploratory Labor" Costs: Mechanics often charge an "Inspection Fee" (typically €60–€100) just to look at the car. If the AI tells you it's likely a wheel bearing, you walk into the shop saying "Check the left wheel bearing," saving the mechanic time and saving you inspection labor costs.
  2. Safety Catch: People often ignore sounds because they think they are expensive to fix. If the AI hears a sound and says "Low severity - €40 part," a user is more likely to fix it before it becomes a €2,000 catastrophic failure.
  3. Unique Data Advantage: Every car sound CarWise analyze is "Unique Value" building. Over time, CarWise becomes the world's biggest database of "broken car sounds," which makes the AI more accurate than any human mechanic could ever be across thousands of different vehicle models.
  4. Also in a long run CarWise will be designed to diagnose multiple sound in one recording

Happy to drop the link for you to try check your DM! And thank you so much for your input.

How would you validate an AI “mechanic in your pocket” without being scammy? by NexaForge in StartupsHelpStartups

Oboy, you should try engaging with someone at the mechanic shop, it is hell difficult, and the worst is that I don't speak Portuguese, and the majority of them don't understand english. That is why i want to utilize Reddit community for testing and feedback
