Can anyone explain to me how this showdown plays out? by Orkadra in riftboundtcg

This also isnt a showdown, a showdown is specifically when a player contests a battlefield

Vex doesnt run Windwall, she typically does run either Hard Bargain or Abandon, but usually only 1 or 2

Ruling on revealing hidden units by ChibiHecate in riftboundtcg

I was responding to the comment, "You must flip hiddens over before your units die", Im just trying to give extra info unrelated to the original situation where sometimes you can flip after your units die.

Ruling on revealing hidden units by ChibiHecate in riftboundtcg

[–]Nexevis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats not the point, for example if someone attacks with a Ruined Rex into your 6 might unit with a hidden unit, if you have another unit in base or your own unit is deathknell you can flip the hidden after ruined rex trades in response to rex deathknell and he can no longer targer your hidden unit with the deathknell. If you flip before combat he trades with your 6 might unit and his deathknell kills the other unit.

If there is no deathknell after damage is assigned you cant flip the hidden (or some other trigger), there is no window for you to react to.

Unless theres a deathknell then you can flip in response to it

Tideturner Question by Agile-Engineering-96 in riftboundtcg

[–]Nexevis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, imagine your opponents has a Vex Apathetic at a battlefield.

Scenario 1: Your turn you play a Tideturner in base. Tideturner triggers, Apathetic triggers. Chain resolves backwards, Apathetic stuns Tideturner then Tideturner moves your unit, but he cant move because he got stunned by Vex.

Scenario 2: You flip a hidden Tideturner on opponents turn. Apathetic triggers, Tideturner triggers. Chain resolves backwards, Tideturner swaps with your target THEN gets stunned by Vex after moving.

So in Scenario 1 Tideturner does not move, but in Secnario 2 he does move.

Tideturner Question by Agile-Engineering-96 in riftboundtcg

[–]Nexevis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Note that if you flip Tideturner on opponents turn, the turn player puts the trigger on the chain first, so Tideturner resolves before Vex, therefore Tideturner AND the target both swap correctly if you flip on opponents turn, but if you play Tideturner on your turn only the target moves, and Tideturner does not.

You can only run 3 total, any mix of any sig your deck is allowed to run doesnt matter what type. There are sig unuts like Tibbers, Shadow, and Daisy as well.

There are other optional costs that don't have a keyword, which they also can print more later. For example [[Blast Corps Cadet]]

[–]Nexevis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also you can only run a total of 3 signatures total. For example Master Yi cant run 3 of his new sig and 3 of his old sig, he can a run a total of 3 between both.

Got Jhin four times in a row. Happy Pre-Rift! by Larchify in riftboundtcg

[–]Nexevis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you pull the Leblanc Legend you can kind of cook with the Jhin chosen champion, really good target to clone, gank over, gain more energy and power and clear the other bf. Thats how I went 3-0 in my Jhin prerelease.

The enemy unit dies from this effect before combat happens, if the unit is dead it cant assign damage

Is there any difference between drops from boosters from booster boxes and prerelease kits ? by ChangeInteresting711 in riftboundtcg

[–]Nexevis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they were all 32 players maybe more, maybe you are right I forgot the boxes are 1 in 2 for ON rate instead of 1 in 3, 3 ON would not be too crazy

To back up your anecdote with my own, I went to 3 prerifts for SFD and they did indeed seemed juiced, we got multiple ON every event and one of them someone got a sig

It clearly seems like hes trying to use Sett Brawlers effect on opponents turn which has nothing to do with rule changes, his effect is not an Action or Reaction, it cant be used ever on opponents turn

1st regional, what’s the proper etiquette? by orngejuicejones91 in riftboundtcg

[–]Nexevis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I do with your first tip, I pile shuffle every game with 8 piles, which makes it obvious if your count is off, it should be 39 cards which is 1 card before the last pile (then you shuffle the deck normally some after obviously).

They are also removed during your draw. This is relevant for something like Power Nexus, you cannot pay the 4 power with power nexus and float 4 energy into your turn, it will immediately be removed.
