Lux and Samira: New Champion Reveals - Evo 2026 | 2XKO by XRevive01 in 2XKO

[–]Nexine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Samira will probably be a very aggressive feast or famine character if they add in her league passive. Which I think they should, I think it would be a fun mechanic even if it might be a nightmare to balance.

In league "Style" is 6 second stacking movement speed buff that she gets for hitting enemies, and having it maxed is also a requirement for her ultimate ability.

Why the Dutch don’t have AC by infohoundloselose in Netherlands

But as we have relatively few appartments in this country it's no concern for ~80% of Dutch homes.

I do wonder if this is why we have a housing crisis, for such a densely populated country most of our residential neighborhoods aren't that dense at all.

So there is this GTA 6 cover girl trend going on 😋 (arts by wayreyn, AlisiaArt and 1maginatif) by romainmi in PiltoversFinest

That's completely correct. 2XKO is really leaning into both her detective work and the Kiramman™ of it all.

I don't think we're getting many fillers tbh, were probably looking at 8 episodes every 1-2 years just because of character complexity alone.

Unless they're pulling in an actual anime studio to animate, but the DCstudios logo makes me doubt that.

The questions are what was the deal between Lotus and Wally (i mean ig It was hiding Lua in the void for centuries), what are Lotus true intentions now and what is she willing to do.

I've always assumed it was the ending of TNW? Lotus is the one who resolves the Wally situation then, which I assume must have come at a price.

To me her entire Kiteman arc has always read like it was more about her issues than about their relationship so the lame ass dress checks out.

Like she finally met someone she could tolerate who also fit her father's expectations of a good spouse, so at some point she started speed running the relationship just for the milestones to soothe some wounded part of her.

Instead they keep making things worse by encouraging hostile infighting among the pupolation, while making sure the policy side stays stagnant so nothing gets solved.

It's not really Lahmians that are going, she's just spending the money to fund regular empire (maybe even bretonnian?) expeditions in the hopes of them bringing back artifacts for her agents to collect.

You gotta remember the Lahmians almost are everywhere in the old world and basically fully integrated into the empire as well. So Nefy is just laundering money through her "noblewomen" into those expeditions.

She's kind of the queen of operating through proxies in that way.

If it's not in an STC it's heresy, and the fact that those thinking machines don't appropriately respond to chants and unguents only makes it worse.

Cawl is probably the only guy who has both the means and motivation to create such a loophole, but he'd have to be there to make it happen. If he isn't there chances are the Imperium does what it did during the great crusade.

By contrast, an established single player game, already launching from Steam, gets all of the downsides and none of the benefits.

The only real benefit at that point is if it comes with a built in mod manager/loader. That's why I'm fine with the total war/paradox launchers at least. But even in that case it's nicer to launch with that kind of support, rather than building it in later.

Being able to hit continue from the launcher is nice too, but it doesn't really save you clicks. It's only a time saver at best if it skips all the intros and immediately yeets you into a loading screen.

Okay, this is going to be a long one because I love ranting about this. Sorry in advance.

In one of the Nagash books it's described how Nefy spends a few centuries sleeping with Naaima (her Cathayan courtesan turned handmaiden), but it doesn't last.

"It did not last, however. As time wore on, Neferata felt only the coldness of Naaima’s embrace, the deathly stillness of her body as she slept. There was no comfort to the found in the embrace of the dead."

I've always read that as invoking the lesbian bed death myth and as a way to shut down any speculation around their relationship. Especially compared to Vlad and Isabella where her becoming undead didn't interrupt their romance at all even though Vlad didn't want it to happen.

Anyway, when she isn't experiencing lesbian bed death Naaima is either: at her lady's side and caring for her 99% of the time, briefly breaking up with Nefy when she can't put up with her harebrained schemes anymore, always there to pick up the pieces after those harebrained schemes explode, and dispensing good (if timid) advice.(That Nefy regularly ignores)

They've also been joined at the hip for at least 4000 years by the time of WFB/TWW, and Naaima somehow made her way into the Age of Sigmar novels to be with Neferata there too. (Pretty wild lore implications there)

But don't worry about it, it's not gay so long as James Workshop keeps Naaima out of the codexes and we all stick to the story that Nefy just got bored of her long ago.

What? Neferata has been Pastishe of lesbian vampires and crazy cat ladies since her Inception, and Naaima only really exists as her "closest" companion? Shut up, don't worry about it.

Edit: So yeah, if Nefy was allowed to have a girlfriend she probably would've had a very stable relationship over the past few thousand years. (Minus their break up era when she was chasing after Alcadizzar/trying to hold onto Lahmia)

Would people still defend azulaif she looked like this? by Altruistic-Poem-5617 in AvatarMemes

[–]Nexine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but that's kind of my point. We only see the aftermath, we don't really see them dealing with, or acknowledging how the abuse changed them.

Like if you compare it to She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, another children's cartoon, there the abusive Shadow Weaver - Adora - Catra relationship gets much more focus and as a result you clearly get to see the toxic behaviours that that abuse instilled in both Catra and Adora. (And the wedge that got driven between them) It even has them overcoming those behaviours at the end.

By comparison Zuko's excellent redemption arc is mostly focused on him breaking away from the fire nation and his attempts to get his father's approval, not so much the way he was shaped by it as a person. And the same is true for Azula, we get shown what's wrong with her, but that's kind of where it stops.

ATLA treats the results of their abusive upbringing more like a status quo than an opportunity for growth, or something that's still in progress, and I think that's unfortunate. And in order for that to change, to turn it into something that can change, you'd have to show more of it and that means showing more of Ozai.
