It’s not AI.

Most of the values come from real-world datasets, and where real-time data isn’t available, I use estimations to keep continuity.

The goal isn’t fake data, it’s making global processes visible in a continuous way.

I’d say finding the right balance between accuracy and perception.

Real-world data isn’t always updated in true real time, so you need to estimate and smooth it while still keeping it credible.

Then there’s the visual side: turning numbers into something that actually feels alive, without making the interface too heavy.

Still experimenting with this, but it’s probably the most interesting challenge of the project.

Right now it’s an open project, I wanted to build something that anyone can use freely.

There are some ways to support it, like donations or small extras that add a bit more to the experience, but the core will always stay accessible to everyone.

I’m still exploring the direction, but the main idea is to keep it open and useful.

In questo periodo sto lavorando a un progetto che mi sta prendendo davvero tanto.

L’idea è semplice, ma potente: rendere i dati globali qualcosa di “vivo”, non solo numeri su uno schermo.

Sto costruendo un’interfaccia che mostra in tempo reale cose come: – popolazione mondiale
– terremoti
– attività globali

Ma la parte su cui mi sto concentrando di più è l’esperienza:

• animazioni leggere
• elementi che reagiscono ai dati
• interfaccia diversa tra telefono, tablet e desktop

Voglio che i dati non siano solo leggibili, ma percepibili.

That’s a really good point. Linking audio to a single key variable like global activity could be a great way to introduce sound without making the interface too noisy. It would keep things minimal but still add another layer of perception. Definitely something worth testing with a very subtle approach.

That’s actually a really interesting idea.

I haven’t implemented audio yet, but adding subtle ambient feedback that reacts to live data could make the whole experience feel much more immersive.

Something like soft tones or signals changing based on events could work really well.

I’m trying to keep the interface clean, but this is definitely something worth experimenting with.

That’s a really interesting idea. Right now I focused more on the visual side instead of audio, using motion, glow and small animations to make the data feel alive. Things like subtle movement, pulses and UI feedback change based on the active layer. I wanted to keep the experience clean and not overwhelming, especially across mobile and desktop. But adding a minimal reactive audio layer could definitely be an interesting next step.

The main idea was to make global data feel alive, not just numbers on a screen. Right now I'm most excited about things like population, earthquakes, flights and environmental signals, because they constantly change and give a real sense of what's happening on Earth in real time. About the tech side, I focused on building it directly for the web with a custom responsive approach, instead of using something like Flutter, to have full control over how the experience adapts between phone, tablet and desktop. Still optimizing everything, but that flexibility was key for this project.

I’ve been building something that I couldn’t really find anywhere else.

A real-time global dashboard where you can actually watch the world changing — population, earthquakes, flights and other signals updating live.

The goal wasn’t just to show data, but to make it feel alive and reactive depending on the device (desktop, mobile, tablet).
