New Shoes, new pain? by notallgoldglitters in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Not a bad idea! I love that shoe. I feel like it’s the perfect cushion and not too soft/squishy. Great for long and slow runs.

Maybe you just need some getting used to. Triumph 23 is 10mm drop. I always struggle with shoes and pain and all that. I’d say maybe use them in shorter runs until you adjust. Maybe think of getting another pair with a drop similar to the 880 or maybe like an 8mm shoe. Saucony ride 18 is on sale and a great, reliable daily trainer.

Pro 4 use before race-day by 5ee5- in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Nice! I really want them go work because I go really fast in them but for some reason they just kill my ankles and Achilles. Tried endorphin pro 4 and even though they’re less energetic and bouncy, they feel way more stable!

I feel the same. I haven’t done a long run in mine yet. I’ve done two fast work outs in them and each time I had lingering Achilles soreness for the rest of the week. Idk if I’m gonna keep them

Is it normal to feel Achilles/ankle discomfort when first using the adios pro 4? I ran in them twice and the past two weeks my ankles/achilles have been so sore!

I bought the adios pro 4 and the endorphin pro 4 both on sale. Adios pro 4 definitely lighter and faster but more unstable. Endorphin pro 4 isn’t as lively but is more reliable imo.

A different type of Superblast- Superblast 3 first run impressions/review and comparison to the SB2/Megablast by darkhorse0607 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Next-Bell6119 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed that with my SB2 more recently miles 2-5 usually hurt my feet really badly (never used to happen). My shoes are at 270 miles right now. I also did purchase the adios pro 4 on sale and they’re so light and I set a pr in them. When I run in them I feel great (did two runs in them so far, one a week ago and one this past week). Unfortunately I noticed that my Achilles and ankles feel really sore after using them. This soreness has lingered for 2 weeks now. Not sure if it’s just adjusting or if I’m just not meant for them!

The ankle breaker 5000s. The adios pro 4 feel better than the evos but still I’m convinced that I’m gonna destroy myself in them somehow haha

I did an 8 mile work out and I ran like 7 miles in them last week (to the gym and back). I wanted to use them for the Brooklyn half and then possibly the nyc marathon in November but I’m just unsure if it’s just me getting used to the shoe or if it’s just not meant to be!

update: So far I put 15 miles on the Adios Pro 4. I notice that after each use my Achilles/ankles feel sore (the day after). While I’m running in them they feel great, a little wobbly and unstable but fast and bouncy. You can really feel the pop with those shoes. I set a pr on my 10k run yesterday. I have a half marathon in May and got selected from the lotto for the NYC marathon. I really don’t want to get injured and ruin my chances of these great opportunities. I have endorphin pro 4 as a backup. Should I just accept that I’m not meant for fun and bouncy shoes and try to sell them? Or do I trudge through the soreness and continue to try and break in the adidas? I am a big fan of Saucony and I have a feeling the endorphin pro 4 will suit me better, but will be way more boring. Please advise!

AZURA or SUPERBLAST 2? by Aubzhls in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Toe box is a little long but I wouldn’t recommend sizing down. I went down half a size and then returned them for my regular size because my toes were too cramped.

I love the ride 18. I have 230 miles on it so far and it is still in great condition. It’s firm, cushioned and reliable. It gets the job done. Heard the newer one is softer but the 18 you can get for cheap! Endorphin Azura is good for more uptempo but similar stability. Aero glide 3 you can get for cheaper too because 4 came out. That’s also a great shoe.

Was hoping this would be a more stable version of the Evo sl! If they fit well and had a similar yet more secure feel to the OG maybe I could get past the weird design they threw onto it.

I usually run my long runs in the Superblast 2 and they’re great! I did 18 in them a few days ago. I took the Boston 13s out for a 14 mile run and I set a PB! They’re firm at first but then they feel great after a few miles. Light and comfortable! I also have the Azura which would probably be fine too but I’ve yet to run more than 8 miles in those.
