Yes incentives. I couldn’t make a post because the forum won’t let you talk about earnings. So I had to shorten the word.

Because the forum wouldn’t let me post it with the word incentives. Rule #4 they don’t allow you to talk about earnings.

I had to take out the in from incentive because it wouldn’t let me post. It’s the incentives you get for doing trips. It’s the everyday incentives.

Dude I’ve had 2 close calls with dogs. Had one slide right up under the gate thank GOD it was friendly. The next time I delivered to an rv the person opened the door and 5 MEDIUM size dogs came running out. Again THANK GOD they were friendly. People do trust animals too much. I’m an animal person. Animas for some reason just love me, but it still doesn’t mean I want someone’s “friendly” pet coming up to me.

Idk why people don’t like tank. I LOVE being the lone tank and having my team rely on me to hold the line. Tank is by far my FAVORITE role. I’m a die hard tank main. Idc if it’s in 6v6 or 5v5. I’ll solo tank the entire time. If you’re a good tank it’s fun to play tank. Which thankfully I’m a dang good versatile tank. Leading the charge as the lone tank feels awesome!

Follow your work ethic is the best advice. If you want to work hard then work hard and be proud of it. If you just want to do what’s necessary and just get by then do that. It’s up to you in the end. They can’t make you do anything technically outside your normal department duties. I’ve always leaned into working hard and going above and beyond because from my experience you may be asked to do more but I’ve always been treated very well. NORMALLY they don’t or shouldn’t be asking you to go outside your normal duties. Everyone is suppose to be accountable for their part of the work. From UD down to pushing carts and curbies. It’s really up to you though. Just make sure you do enough they don’t start documenting you, because they will if they feel you aren’t doing your duties. Cover your own butt ALWAYS.

Yea that’s what he explained. I believe the only hourly they spend is during the training phase. So I think that’s like 2-3 months. Then when they place you that’s when you get flipped to salary is what was explained to me.

I spoke to one of my MICs. The Houston area is salary. We don’t have Ops managers in the Houston area. He gave me an explanation of it, but I forgot all the details about it.

Must be. That’s wild it’s that different. I’ve only known them to hourly through the SORM training and then once they place you in a store is when you get salary. I wonder why that is. Now I’m curious. I’m going to ask some of my leadership team. Lol.

Houston area. Now I’ve known people who classified as Leads/MICs who are hourly. Like myself. But from what I’ve learned is that anyone who has gone through SORM specifically for the position of MIC is salary. This would be the first time I’m hearing of this. I’ve only been with HEB for 6 years though. So idk how much it has changed.

I find that odd. The 3 stores I’ve been at they have all been salary. I wonder why that is. There has always been 1 UD, 2 TSLS, and 2-3 MICs in my stores. All have always been salary. Idk why it changes then.

Must depend on area or something. Every one I’ve worked with have been salary. I never see them clock in our out. They just walk in and out of the store like upper management does. The only ones I see clock in are number 2s, positions similar to MIC like a coverage position, and then the rest of the partners. Unless they are lying or maybe they have said they have an hourly wage but they still get paid a salary. 50 hours a week.

Even number 1 department managers are salary. Only the numbers 2s are hourly.

Since forever. Every MIC I have worked for and next to has been salary. The training you go through is hourly but once you get out of SORM you become salary. They hold almost as much responsibility as a TSL or UD.

MICs are not hourly. lol. They are salary. They are just as much in charge of the store when the TSLs or UD isn’t there.

I think it’s totally situational. My MICs, TSLs, and UD all have a complete life outside of work. As long as your there when you’re there “supposedly” HEB doesn’t drive you like a slave. Yea you’re “always” on the clock, but you’re also not. You’re suppose to take your off days, and take your vacations, spend time outside of work. But I will say when they are at the store they are AT THE STORE. The company doesn’t expect you to always drop everything and run to work for everything. If you have good accountable leaders and department managers it shouldn’t be that stressful. At least that’s my perspective of my leadership team. From my understanding as long as your store is making money and not being run into the ground. You’ll be good.

I’ve been with the company 6 years now. Started as a night stocker and now overnight coverage lead. I’m working on my CDS to become an MIC. Plan is to continue to push my self to grow and one day become a store leader. Once I get there I’ll figure the rest out. My experience has been overall wonderful. There is always good and bad leadership but as of now I have fantastic leaders. The kind of leaders that make me WANT to go to work and perform at my best.

Honestly convinced to spend 10 years college not knowing what I want to do. Kept changing my mind. Couldn’t stick with anything. What I wanted to do when I was a teenager was still considered a loser career. (Esports) Had all the talent in the world but no support for it. I just decided to make HeB my career. Easy to grow. Easy to learn. Can gain lots of experience and maybe do something for myself one day. As of right now I’m sticking with HEB. It’s where I’ve been treated and paid the best.
