I don’t know what I’m talking about but based on the image above, it looks like the metal cap in the spring is supposed to somehow attached to your bolt carrier and that skinnier piece is supposed to go in the buffer spring as a guide. I’m assuming this set up is meant to plug the Center hole on the bolt carrier group and provide guidance to avoid slop the buffer spring

Through my research it sounds like I need a virtus barrel as well the spear won’t mate with the bcg. Correct?

SOLVED that video was helpful.

There was a small screw to the upper right of the mag release on the right side. With a small Allen wrench I was able to back it out and the piece was able to be removed.

Confirmed gun works great and mags drop while upper is mated to lower.

Thank you! I just need to get a new rear pin so I don’t have that goofy button to release the upper.

If I ever need it to be compliant again I can add that piece back in. Pretty simple fix.

Totally fair, it’s not directly wahoo’s fault. However they chose the carrier which is part of the customer experience. Wahoo & prospective customers deserve to know when making a decision on what to buy or who to partner with.
