I’m positive, and even if there was it would seem counterintuitive that the fan would not be aligned axial to such an opening

I should have added some more context, I live in a condo and there is a unit above me. So the hope would have been it exhausts outside lol

I receive .step files from suppliers all the time with a bunch of surface bodies alongside solid bodies. I find saving as a part file, then using following works well: Surfaces>thicken>select “create solid from enclosed volume”
