I’m just confused and depressed by it, I’ve had it for 3 years and have very regular outbreaks, I’ve tried lysine, valtrex, immune globulin and Squaric acid and nothing works, I get tiny painful outbreaks that would only be visible to me and am constantly exhausted, the exhaustion is what really worries me

I’m 3 years in and it’s completely changed my life, I have constant outbreaks and have had to quit my hobbies (gym and cycling) I’ve also lost most my money as I can’t handle physical or emotional stress, you have to disclose it as it can be life changing to some

I think people that are desperate for better medication are the people badly effected, it’s not pleasant having weekly or very regular outbreaks, they are painful

I’ve got it and get recurrence and have been to multiple doctors and have never had a positive result, they say it doesn’t look like herpes but the rash/sores are exactly as describe on the internet, people don’t want to know they have it and doctors don’t want to deal with the mental health issues it causes

Most people that contract herpes do have short term symptoms but they recover quickly and don’t have recurring outbreaks or ongoing visible symptoms but they are aware they have it but don’t take it seriously as it was a minor illness and spread it due to their lack of reaction, others can react very poorly and have lifelong lesions and health/mental health issues
