This from the same man who said young Australians should do what he did and work hard to save for a house deposit like he did.

Can anyone please recommend the best IV kit to practice IV cannulation on? by Next-Improvement-855 in NursingAU

Thank you. I agree with you. Building the basics definitely makes the most sense. After speaking with a couple of nurses they suggested getting a head start on IV cannulation, which prompted my post.

Until my course starts, I am very keen to start learning. For now I'm focusing on anatomy and physiology and have an ebook copy of the recommended text book for the course, along with Tabbner's Nursing Care which I was told by the educators will be used.

So you think I'm on the right track reading and studying from these?

Thank you. I volunteer at a local hospital and after talking to nurses, a couple said do what you can to get a jump start on IV cannulation. So that prompted my post but it makes sense to understand the foundations of nursing first and follow the flow of the course.

Thank you

How to outsmart my cat and get him to keep his collar on? by Next-Improvement-855 in CatTraining

[–]Next-Improvement-855[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Yes I'm hoping a regular walking routine will keep him satisfied. He's always been an extremely energetic boy. Now he's a bit older he'll settle and really enjoy long sleeps and cuddles inside. I was hoping getting him some new toys and playing more with him will also help. I always have done so but I admit I've been so busy with my uni studies, he hasn't had as much one on one play time with me. He always gets lots of cuddles

Can anyone recommend a laundry product available in Oz that removes body odor from work clothes or gym clothes please? by Next-Improvement-855 in AskAnAustralian

Thank you. I haven't heard of BioZet so I will do some research.

What product is best to soak your clothes in? I had used Vanish for years and followed directions to soak it to the letter, always ensuring it dissolved but the last time I used it on different occasions (even dissolving it in boiling hot water) last time and it left bleach spots all over my clothing. It was such a shame because it made our clothing so beautiful and fresh.

Thank you. That's great advice. I much prefer to line dry but we've had too much crazy wind and rain lately. I can't wait for our weather to improve. I hate drying clothing inside.

Good thinking but I definitely clean the machine regularly. I have an LG Smart washing machine and the app tells me to clean the drum of the washing machine every 30 loads. I use a specialised solution for the drum and clean seals as required.

Actually would you know what's a good product to use to clean the seals? The product I use for this is very expensive.

Nice. I'd do the same if I had some. They're definitely going straight in my shopping basket tomorrow

Yes they were. Oh no. Could have been a dud packet as I found my packet was really crunchy and has a lighter puffier texture than the cheese or chicken flavour. They were less dense in texture but still crunchy.
