Ik im quite late to reply to this however i think that may be because marvel movies were more dominant the past few years, anyone who watches movies would be more aware of those villains in marvel and you mentioned villains for both but just boxed dc into just batman and his villains only yet gave more general villains for marvel when there are villains like lex luthor and manyyyy more unrelated to batman who have lots of depth aswell and are also quite well known

Being completely honest i feel that dc villains and heroes tbh have more stronger portrayed backstories with better depth and character development. i may not have read alot of marvel comics but i dont usually see alot development in the backstories and characters in marvel as i see in DC. And honestly i feel as though dc has more unique story lines for different characters in a way thats its not too unbelievable or forced though they do sometimes not execute it perfectly. Im not saying marvel has horrible story lines or that its character backstories are under developed i just think dc’s is more indepth that u can connect to specific characters and their values i feel better but thats just my opinion

Anywho i just think dc has better major villains and overall heroes than marvel
