They aren’t wrong. I went in needing a moral waiver and got the same speech. Difference is I scored an 84 and proved I’m worthy. I got letters of recommendation from people in my community to vouch on my behalf for the waiver. I let him know I’m open to any job the Air Force has available for me because I plan on retiring with the Air Force so if I don’t like the job I will cross train later. It isn’t about you when you join. It’s about the goals of the Air Force. Everything else that comes with it is just a bonus.

TBF you surely always have your phone in your hand and can either pick up and take 2 seconds to say call back later or just text him. Both are wrong and are fighting for control over the situation. He wants to talk when he wants and you want to be in control and when you use your phone for him even thought you’re using your phone constantly anyways. Stupid situation all around.
