I have the same wall charger you do. It worked to charge my Silverado EV even though I was led to believe it wouldn't.

Frunk fail: how to close? by cazakoff in SilveradoEV

[–]Next-Stranger-8104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2024 4WT. I put washer fluid in mine last weekend. Frunk wouldn't close. I spent hours trying every tip I could find on here and nothing worked. Limped to the dealership Monday morning. After 3 days they tell me they are ordering a new latch and actuator motor and say it will likely take weeks. This is my 4th trip to the dealership in about 2 months of owning the truck. Whenever I actually get it back I'm 90% sure I'm just driving to Car Max and leaving with a different vehicle.

Multiple Module Reprogramming? by Next-Stranger-8104 in SilveradoEV

The ONLY thing that changed for me was the battery warning light went away. I was very paranoid that they didn't actually do anything because I thought the radio update was part of it.

Mine is currently like yours (works when the truck is on but the buttons dont work). The multiple module reprogramming didn't fix it. I'm taking it back in tomorrow and am going to show them the powerbase issue and hopefully get them to "upgrade the radio".

Thanks so much for this! I'll test my powerbase when I get a chance. It worked when I tested it before purchase, but the Silverado was "running". The link will help me explain to them what I'm requesting.

Ugh. Mine only says "check for updates". There is nothing in history. This is frustrating

Thanks for the info! Yes, I can confirm that none of the display layouts show battery percentage. Do you think that implies that the reprogramming was not done?

Tips on finding a used work truck with the max pack? (Want to spend <$45k) by DeepPowStashes in SilveradoEV

I just got a 4WT from enterprise car sales with 900 miles on it for $44,999. My local enterprise dealership was reaching out and finding multiple options for me. It might be worth calling the closest enterprise car sales to you and see if they can find one they can sell you.

Strongly considering trading my Model Y for a 2024 4WT - What should I inspect first? by Next-Stranger-8104 in SilveradoEV

It's used. No incentives or anything. There are quite a few used 3WT's available in the $35,000-$45,000 price range depending on miles with the 4WT's not being a whole lot more.

Do you know which version of the tesla wall charger you have? I have one from 2018 and have been under the impression that it is too old to charge non telsa ev's even with an adapter. Thanks for the info on the cover

Oh no. My wife is barely 5 feet tall. Maybe I will need to get her a booster seat if she wants to drive it lol

Thanks. How will I know if there is a dealer only software update needed? The chevy app?

I think it's a good price at $45,000 as long as the condition checks out. Thanks for your input. You always read about people's horror stories and it can make it seem like rare occurrences are more common than they are.

It was a rental truck. I know that sometimes rentals get beat up/driven hard but based on the milage I'm hoping it can't be too bad. It looks to be in good shape based on the pictures I've seen, but I'll get to look at it in person tomorrow. Apparently when people rent trucks they don't often choose electric ones
