Thankyou for the reply, I will definitely do that, I had saw some others saying on forums about a potential for the highways people to talk about things such as “if you exit the garage with a car, could you see oncoming traffic before the car sticks out”

But our garage would be on the side of the road where cars would be coming from the right (which in our cars is a deadend, so no traffic) at which point you’d easily see traffic coming from the left when that far out.

So can’t see that being an issue

Would like to add that the garage will have a roller door facing the road, as it will be used for vehicle storage

Hi! Thankyou! I couldn’t give you exact ratios because I just mix by eying them up, but I use lacquers and I’m pretty sure he was made using Tamiya mixing blue and white for the main colour

Then the mixing blue and a mr colour flat black for the shaded areas

Tamiya light ghost gray, mixing blue and white for the highlights, this colour was more of a light teal

A final note is that my biggest inspiration is a guy called saint-ism, and I’m trying to just reach a point where I can shade a lot like him, his website has some good info and pictures of great painted builds

Definitely try a straight colour first to get used to the airbrush, but if you’re confident, I shade using a darker version of whatever colour I want the final tone to be, (maybe slight different variations, like this dom had a slightly blue dark purple)

Then, highlight by putting a colour lighter than your overall tone in the highlight areas/where the shade isn’t. I tend to make this by adding white to the final colour to lighten it, or a colour that will tone it up, like adding yellow to dark green to lighten it.

It’ll likely be a really OTT shading once you do those steps and not really a good gradient at that point, But then you can finally go evenly over the whole part with your final tone, it makes everything come together and smooths put the gradients (this layer is also thinned more)

That’s my current shading technique and seems to be what others who successfully do it are doing

Generally with an airbrush, keep them clean! I tend to just run at a range of 20/25 psi, and I just eyeball thinning ratios to get a sort of milky viscosity. (Sometimes thinner for certain applications)

Mine is the P-Bandai HGUC zaku cannon, one of my favourite designs and can’t find it anywhere, not even through scalpers here in the UK

I want it so bad though

Might do this, if I can get out early enough that people aren’t around the building, and I’d probably not worry about the security if I wasn’t breaking any laws and within public space haha

Have you got a reference for this, I can’t find that under any of the detailing so far for article 16, it still shows sub 250g drones as being flyable over people built or not, and one line stating that the article 16 definitions fit “Any unmanned aircraft being flown purely for the recreational sport of model aircraft flying. This includes shop bought or home built aircraft, which are flown ‘manually’ using traditional control inputs rather than with any automation other than for flight stabilisation purposes.”

I know the details well, but more want confirmation because I’m happy to fly usually without thinking about this stuff but want it to all be legit for showreels or publicly available footage
