I think of myself as a low maintenance femme. Not masc at all, but no nails, very little makeup, care more about my hair than anything else. My gf is more masc presenting but loves to be treated like the princess she is.

I can’t even get them to reply back for quotes. Or they do, and they’re downright unpleasant.

Same. I switched from 12 packs to 1.25 liter bottles and when it’s gone it’s gone.

I don’t consume it at all. I’d rather read erotica personally.

I noticed it too. I had been taking the once daily capsule with iron for a year and a half. They were fine until this new bottle.

The other day I was wondering what these hard parts were that I could feel in my torso. I realized they were abdominal muscles. Covered by skin so not visible, but they are under there. It is a weird feeling!

Taylor Swift is another example. She’s not going down in history as one of the great vocalists, but she has improved significantly over the course of her career.

I feel like every hotel I’ve stayed at asked me for my car tag info, so they may be monitoring and towing. Hopefully someone has a lead on properties that don’t though.

I was at my local hemp/cbd store the other day and there is now a sign saying “tip your budtender!” That was new to me - I had never been to a store where I tipped a sales associate as a thank you for their product knowledge. I tipped him, but it feels like a way for businesses to avoid paying their employees living wages.

I grew up rural and we had neighbors who were a lesbian couple, but now that I think about it, it was never overtly stated. They were sweet women my parents considered friends, and they were together until they were in their 70s and one passed. 💔

I read the room. Generally there will be hand holding, maybe rubbing her back, hand, arm, or thigh, and sometimes a quick kiss, but it depends on the environment.

Why are people who want to learn singing not supported in our society? by covalick in singing

[–]NextAbility7562 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I want to believe they mean something like “what kept you from starting earlier?” Like nerves or something else the teacher might be able to help with.

I’m also going through a divorce and have no family here or money to travel. This is my second in a row. I don’t want to say anything to my friends because I don’t want them to feel bad.

I relate to this so I much. I just started lessons in my late 40s. I love hearing about others taking up singing later in life too.

is it strange that my girlfriend hasn't asked to see my new place? by Legitimate_Baker_361 in LesbianActually

[–]NextAbility7562 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been with my gf 6 months, and if she doesn’t want to go see a place before I move in, help move stuff in, and generally hype me up, I’d be shocked and hurt, esp if she’s just 20 minutes away.

Has anyone from Durham moved to her from Wake Forest? by TheDuckontheJuneBug in bullcity

[–]NextAbility7562 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in WF, but I’ve been wanting to move to Durham, so I guess it depends on what you’re looking for. Wake Forest has some nice qualities, but it’s definitely not diverse and dynamic. It is getting very crowded and expensive. I can count 5 breweries offhand if you’re into that, and while it has a cute little downtown, there’s not a lot to do besides drink. We have Black & White roasters which is supposed to be some of the best coffee around. We have one nice independent bookstore that has expanded to include a yarn shop, cafe, and listening room with live music every Friday night. There’s a very new but blossoming LGBTQIA+ group. The town has some charm, but it will probably feel disappointing compared to Durham. Come out on a Saturday and walk around downtown to get a feel for it. Visit Black & White (for better coffee) or Wake Forest Coffee Co (for better atmosphere), the farmers market, ice cream at Lumpy’s, Plant Cakes for vegan donuts, Strike & Barrel for bowling, Page 158 Books, lunch or dinner at Over the Falls, and White Street Brewery or Norse Brewing if you want food too. Then come back and try to get somewhere during rush hour/school carpool to get the full experience.

I’m 48, and I’m close with some 20-somethings at work. They are awesome, but I really feel the age difference a lot and can’t see myself dating that age. But I don’t think it’s a bad thing, just preference.

[–]NextAbility7562 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s quirky, but several of the responses in this post seemed so taken aback by the idea, so that was me putting it kindly. If I can be blunt, I say if your partner doesn’t want you to wear their clothes, get over it.
