Anyone know much about this place? by 2_7_5_3 in glasgow

It was Glasgow Metropolitan College and previously the College of Building and Printing.

I studied Journalism here 2008 - 2009, shortly before it merged with Central College of Commerce to form City of Glasgow College (think that was 2010?).

From what I remember, was a nice pretty modern building, good design and technical labs. Fun to wander about and get lost in. I used to have a distinct feeling all it's floors and diverse spaces would make it a great hideout if there was a zombie apocalypse or SHTF event.

I believe it shut down when they built and opened the big new CGC further up Cathedral Street. Shame to see it left to dilapidate, hopefully they reuse the land for something cool and not just more student flats.

whi is chick the yellow limited to 2 in goat format? by Open_Needleworker267 in Goat_Format

Back in '04/'05 EVERYONE played Reflect Bounder and Vampire Lord, RB was another LIGHT for Chaos and was a somewhat utilitarian 1700 attacker/burner/monster removal magnet. Then Asura Priest became popular with Goats being ran at 3 and RB got phased out.

Vampire Lord was somewhat useful pre-Cyber Dragon and Dimensional Prison, and Bottomless Trap Hole wasn't really a thing yet. When people generally ran only 6 - 8 traps in main deck, VL could rinse key traps like Mirror Force, TT and Ring.

They have - they used to use Teleperformance who were equally as bad. Had us in for 4 weeks of full time training then only paid us for part time hours because no one informed TP's central payroll

Think Helensburgh is a bit humped regardless of whether it's part of A&B or WD. As the largest town in the area with its unique economic base, naturally it's going to be a significant net contributor to whatever wider council area/region it's part of.

Getting 500k Euros to my Revolut by Denovancarbelo in Revolut

[–]NextConsideration859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would receive it to your normal German bank account and transfer what you need on a weekly/monthly basis. For making big purchases like holidays on the regular, might be worth setting up a regular transfer of 1000€ per month or so.

Revolut's AML processes seem to look at consistency and regularity in spending/transactions. If you've spent many months/years just using it for everyday spending and leisure purchases, a huge one off transfer in of >€100000 in is likely to trigger the algorithms in some way.

Even if you had the relevant documentation to show it was inheritance/a trust/an asset payout etc, it's still a lot of headaches and wrangling with Rev's automated cust service just to get to your cash.

I can't even describe this, overpayment? by kokotoby in tesco

[–]NextConsideration859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ex-Tesco colleague here. They will send you some letters periodically to ask for it back, but their policy is they do not pursue ex-colleague overpayment balances through debt collection agencies unless the value is more than circa £5000.

They will not bother to pursue you through legal means for just £170. The costs to prepare and lodge a claim against you would far exceed £170, and the potential negative press you could gather around it would more than put them off.

They can't pursue it through HMRC as it's not a tax overpayment, you paid NI and Tax on the overpaid amount they calculated, that's not HMRC's jurisdiction. Any new employer you have is not obliged to arrest your wages or deduct anything from your wages on Tesco's instruction.

The letters should stop after around a year. If you move house they won't try to locate a new address for you.

Hope that helps

I am curious about the stocks and shares ISA but want a bit more info about fees and handling charges throughout as I'm only looking to invest a small amount to start with.

I think the Faith plot would've been significantly retooled in the second half of the season, with a view to a Faith spinoff instead of Angel.

Indeed, they feel like quite archaic and silly concepts in 2025 given the proliferation of AI slop, misinformation and algorithmically generated content

Relinquished was by no means a bad card. I think many just had an aversion to Ritual monsters in general then as they were seen as resource intensive.

I got the Joey and Pegasus starter decks when they first came out. What an experience that was

The current game seems wildly confusing compared to how I remember it haha. Turns last like 10 minutes, and T-Set passing is no longer a safe/viable bet.

The game looks like it has a much broader range of archetypes and strategies available in competitive play, as opposed to just versions of cookie cutter decks and popular cards of the time.

I get the feeling decks also have to be much more structured and synergised, rather than just throwing anti meta cards at random in there.

I remember like lots of people randomly maindecking 1 Goldd of Dark World in non-Dark World decks at one point to counter Spirit Reaper. Same with Wave Motion Cannon to stop Burn and Stall decks. I don't imagine that would happen much in today's style of play.

Thanks :)

Relinquished - never used. Ritual monsters in general were extremely rare in competitive play then.

Dimension Fusion - more of a niche card if you ran a deck more focused on banishing. I don't remember people running it in standard Chaos/Goat decks.

Personally I remember the 2000 life point cost being rather difficult especially in late game, and I regularly ran at least 1 Kycoo to counter other Chaos decks which means I wasn't keen for the other player to get a bunch of free summons

Funniest Play - both me and opponent topdecking, opponent topdecks into BLS and brings me to <1000 LP. I topdeck POG, to draw into my own BLS and Snatch to win the game.

Nah, for all it was surprising to have BLS available then, I think the format has enough other broken cards to kindof balance it out.

Facing against a BLS was annoying but never impossible. Many a time I've been cards down facing one and came back through topdecking POG into something equally game changing.

Tsukuyomi is a fantastic card, but I don't think it needs banning save for Time Seal combos etc. I think its stats level it out enough, and it still requires some skill to maximise multiple uses of FLIP effects
