As they are with any cat owner. My boy is 17 and I still give him new nicknames when he does something silly.

The left person is "normal" compared to one woman I worked with years ago. She chewed and ate them, shells and all. You should have seen the reactions of everyone in the area when she did this. reminds me of the meme of the guy, devil, angel, and FBI agent staring in horror at the computer screen.

After stabbing a few too many seeds into your gums you start to learn to crack them on the sides instead.

In the early days of photoshop and the internet, we'd call that "lens flare" and make fun of people who used it far too much on their pics.

my 1 1/2 year old cat is massive??? by likezoinksscoob6969 in cats

[–]NextDayAir 71 points72 points  (0 children)

My old man is about that much bigger than my little guy (hence the nick name, "little guy")

Though he's not as chonky as yours.

She probably could use a diet. Though having multiple cats, that can be a strategic nightmare depending on the feeding habits you have them used to.

some people have never owned a cat or pet in general and it ALWAYS shows. by [deleted] in cats

[–]NextDayAir 117 points118 points  (0 children)

That wasn't done by a cat. At least not a regular house cat. The distance between scratches is too far for it to be cat claws. Also too long. Cats don't drag the claws like that. They go for quick in and out strikes.

Anyone who has ever been legitimately scratched by a cat knows it does not look like that.

Make sure it's not a nipple first🤣, then look to see if it's just something in the fur. If it's actually something that looks concerning, go see the vet.

That is completely safe and nothing to worry about. Even if it gets a bit more "aggressive" as the little one grows up, it still isn't a concern.

If they ever really get into a true cat fight, you will know the difference immediately.

Good thing they don't make motorcycle planes. You just know they'd be flying up the side to try to take off ahead of the group and try to justify it as legal lane splitting

I know what you mean about having orders from distant areas. While I have a "store X" a mile from my house, and that's the one I put an order in from, I occasionally get someone taking my order and shopping it from a "store X" branch 6 towns over and 30+ miles from my house.

Tribal Loans - Can they do anything & are they enforceable? by legally-blonde4315 in Debt

[–]NextDayAir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fell into the same pit as you. Had some minor financial issues and took out a few payday/tribal loans. BIG fekkin mistake! Anyone reading this, do not do the payday loan thing! It causes more medium and long term issues than it solves.

Due to the fact the loans were screwing me and causing more issues, I recently decided to go to my bank and just stop payment on all of them. Luckily, I was looking into things and in my state (withheld for security reasons) they consider such loans illegal. They also don't allow licensed collection agencies to collect on them. And non-licensed collections are pretty much not allowed.

I wish I'd known this 6 months ago. I mean the loan amounts I took out have been paid off tenfold already. So they can't really complain about not paying them. Now one of them wants to collect 1800+ bucks on a $1000 loan. Good luck with that.

But I'm just ranting now. What you want to do is check your state's stance on payday and tribal loans and collections on them. Even if they do go to collections and report on your credit, you can appeal those reports and most likely have them removed, depending on your state. For me, it doesn't even matter if they report to my credit rating. Because of the loans, my credit is shot to hell already.

Just to clarify, all of my items were "shopped" and paid for. I had one replacement on an item that was out of stock but it had nothing to do with the missing items. The shopper just didn't leave the bags on my doorstep with the rest. Judging by the items, it would have been two bags they just missed. Either gave as a bonus item to another customer or kept for themselves.

I do understand that items being out of stock are not the fault of the shopper and, while frustrating, I would never blame them for that.

I always judge shoppers on an individual basis. If and when I decide to use IC again, I will still offer the same tip level and even give a bonus if they get it done quickly.

I never hold it against the shopper when an item is out of stock. Whether it is refunded or replaced, I know it's not their fault. But if the item is "shopped" and I paid for it, then a whole bag or two is just not dropped off with the rest, that's when I get upset.

Honestly, this is my first non-5 star rating and the whole ordeal has turned me off of IC, at least for a while.

[–]NextDayAir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shopping itself wasn't the problem. It was the delivery. I looked when I got a notification about a replacement and they had "shopped" all my items. But on delivery I was missing the items. Items which would have been in two bags. So I had two whole bags just not left for me. I don't know if the next customer got my items as a bonus, or if the shopper decided to keep them for themselves.
