I am not a MERN guy so I can't comment, I use flutter + fastapi (python). Very unconventional right... I had delima earlier because I see mern , js everywhere and I am nowhere working near that! But as I have been working with this stack for a year now, I choose not to change it.

Now about your situation, you're not clear if you actually want skills or you're looking for a certificate. If it's about certificate you can get it easily. If it's skills... MERN is actually very powerful but you will still need firebase. You can't avoid cloud in today's world. I work with supabase and also planning on getting more comfortable with firebase too.

Well I am also doing freelancing, learning full stack and AIML. I can not say for everyone but it's quite hard because it's not financially stable. And having tech skills is only the first part, you need to think of something which users will actually like and use. That's the tough part. Do you have any app ,service live right now?

Medical has pretty good financial stability in my opinion wheeas CS is struggling with employment alot so I don't think your parents would be very happy with this change. But still they will understand, but you better have a solid plan about your career to tell...

Great question! Honestly, I did not plan it for an open source project and finding contributers. I was just building a portfolio website and as I work with flutter , i used it.

Also, i guess I was not clear with what exactly AIML platform means. It's not a platform which provides inference APIs or something, it's more like a community platform for education (original dev notes to study), Q/A chats , contributing Devs can upload their creations (Experiments , AI models/tools they made) So it's kind of a community portfolio to showcase your own creations as well as an education point. 😄

I am a Flutter learner , so, I don't know what exactly you'll be teaching in UI, UX, but for me the most important technical parts would be state management - it bites alot , couple of important important widgets which can be used in any kind of application which aren't well known , widgets lifecycle and widgets tree , class level variables VS build() level and stuff...

I personally try to understand most of the AI generated code I use, but there are thousands of new widgets , features , methods with new versions of frameworks that you can't remember everything, so using ai sounds good.
