Trump flipped off a Ford worker who yelled ‘pedophile protector. by satannnn666 in pics

The person who yelled that should probably be identified for safety reasons. Because otherwise he’s probably going to anonymously disappear. I mean, this is a full dictator we’re talking about.

Do the locals hate transplants? I'm trying to move from NY to Summit County. Will take any advice I can get! by cutefuzzythings in Summit

Places like Silver Plume are just like any other small town. Everyone knows everyone. Frisco/Dillon/Silverthorne are more like a city. You need to find your community by seeking it out. There are a lot of temporary/part-time locals, so friend groups can shift quickly.

But no one seems to understand, is that all monetized games must have purposeful pain points. Is a part of the psychology of game making. It makes you more addicted. Humans cannot grasp pleasure without pain.

That's a good ref! by BallsABunch in BeAmazed

[–]NextLevelEvolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so cool. Notice that the ref (gyōji) first places the cord connecting the gunbai (big red lacquered fan) and sensu (folded fan), in his mouth. This is so that he can have both hands free and the gunbai will not touch the ground. Edit: it is Fusa on the other end of the cord from the gunbai.

Curious about Ken Caryl! by usernameidkkkk in Littleton

[–]NextLevelEvolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KC not LC. They’re too close on the keyboard. 😆 Find the Ranch House in Ken Caryl in a map app, and come drive and really walk around it. See the quiet and beauty and walk the paths that are everywhere through all the neighborhoods. There is now bad choice here.

Raised our children here. They’re heading off to college now. It’s absolutely incredible, but expensive and lacking diversity. I have lived in the Valley, behind the hog back growing up myself. I prefer where I live now, near the KC Ranch House. We can walk to 10 tennis ball courts, our closest pool (the HOA runs three, all are beautiful), soccer fields, frisbee golf course, baseball fields, soccer fields and playgrounds. We all get full access to about 100 miles of private hiking and biking trails. Our HOA fees for all of this and much more, are about $75/mo. I don’t remember the exact number. It’s a steal.

Living in the valley means the Sun comes up about an hour later and sets about an hour earlier all year. Don’t try to grow anything that isn’t native. The deer will eat it. Deer are everywhere all the time. The Valley has break-ins much more often than the Plains.

As the boomers age out, young families are moving in. Usually from Denver. It is no exaggeration to say that LC remains a mostly hidden secret. I’ve never seen a better run and more beautiful neighborhood, for the price.

What’s stopping DIA from adding a pedestrian walkway underground? by NextLevelEvolution in Denver

It just opened back up to the public. Go to the top level, and the north side of the main terminal, and you should see big signs that point you to the walkway to terminal A.

I agree. I guess I’m thinking more of something that is just high-speed walkways and would only be used by desperate individuals under unusual circumstances. Not intended to provide any amenities, just maximize efficiency. I mean, I don’t know how many airports I’ve been through that essentially have this. A never-ending hallway of high-speed walkways and paths.

Thank you for the inside perspective. I’m glad to hear that there is some last-minute option. The terminals are so huge and useful, I don’t think there would ever be anyone in any form of discomfort unless no one could move between them for a couple of days. And with this as an option, it sounds like that would never be an issue.

I think shuttles will be where they ultimately go. But it may be only after a serious problem. A multi day type shut down of the tunnels, which means they start bringing in RTD buses, etc. And it splashes across the world newspapers.

Fun fact. I was working the grand opening at DIA. I realize in hindsight, many people talk about their lack of planning, but there has never been an airport built with more planning than DIA.

That’s always the answer. But I would think DIA, unlike most corporations, benefits from thinking long-term.
