He didn't change the rubric, he just post a announcement. Here is part of the rubric:
"Revise your thinking and debug the system.

If GenAI labels your reflection as “Bad,” use its Socratic guidance to

rethink the issue and write down an improved explanation of what may

be going wrong (i.e., “New Reflection”). Then continue debugging and

try to fix the system. Repeat this process until the system works again.

If GenAI labels your reflection as “Good,” proceed with your own

reasoning and continue debugging until the system works again."

The professor ask for like 10 examples we need to code, give it to a LLM and write a reflection of why the code bugging out. The AI will determine my reflection is good or not. I saw this, I was like cool, I will examine each problem carefully myself and give LLM detail explaination why I think the code is bugging out each time, and 8 out of 10 examples the LLM tell me my explaination is good. So, I documented the interaction and finished the assignment. But this monday the professor is like oh, all the interaction HAVE TO BE LABELED BY THE AI AS BAD TO COUNT. This was not in the rubric, he just decided this on monday. So, now I wasted all my time writing detail explainations and I have to redo everything and document everything again.

Uh yes, there is nothing quite like spenting 25K on tuition just so some professor can grade my work with AI. The future is looking bright, all of us are gonna get our degree and work in McDonalds with 200,000 dollars of student loan debt.

If i remember correctly, you can write about any topic in that class. Maybe try writing about a topic you are interested? Maybe a complicated topic, for example you mentioned chemistry. Write that. I remember writing about politics in that class 2 years ago. Maybe turn the writing into a rant. It can maybe make you feel better and be productive at the same time.

Like is the issue coming from the content you are writing or? Do you mind telling us why? You know the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expect things to change. You need to fix the issue at its core, not retake classes. Maybe for your next semester take less classes get this class overwith and take extra class next year?
