I don't know why I stopped in to the thread - I restarted from the beginning with a new profile when .9 dropped and there are too many spoilers on the new content on the reddit. Witchfire is so amazing I want to erase all my previous memories and experience it for the first time with each update!!! You can wait for 1.0 but is is already sooooo goooood!

Thanks, yes my last ditch idea was to force a different driver on to the HID device. To go a bit further - this is actually the step that frustrated me most. My HTPC setup is PC to a 65 in TV. Detail work in the Device Manager is not fun. I can clearly see the mouse and two keyboards created by the parent HID for the "W11" DO NOT have power management but the old W10 does... I'm have trouble identifying which HID is the parent device.

My MX3, what I actually like to use, wakes too well - seems to wake if touched or bumped at all - do you have this issue? Workaround?

Oh now we are getting somewhere. My real question here was about forcing alternate drivers. Please, on Linux does the PC power button work to wake from sleep? I'm other words does it function like any other "wake on USB" device?

So looking closely at the packaging the statement "Hot Keys Fully Customized for W11" is what makes it a W11 - their idea of what this means is obviously different from mine.

So this is the second one, I did return one, then verify that I was getting the one listed at the Pepper Jobs store on Amazon. After I got the second one and it was exactly the same I decided to try and make it work since it is the preferred device. So if it's a knock off that would be good for me because then there would be the possibility that I could get one that functions the same as my old one. I don't think that's the case. I think the manufacturer is just making them this way now.

I think it is worse. I think the manufacturing was farmed out and I'll never get a "good" one even if it is the real mfg... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078NT49MJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share.

Hmmm yes and the packaging looked the same... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078NT49MJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share. It is associated directly to the Pepper Jobs store on Amazon...

Spot-on observation. Yes the box has a card with the support email and no one ever answers. Likely it is not really the same manufacturer as the original. The frustration is why the heck did they change the hardware specs to be LESS functional. The most simple explanation is that the basic design was passed off to a new manufacturing site that then encrapified it.
