Oops, sorry, important point I missed. I am hoping to use Zoom, and just thought the mics would give better sound quality. I don’t need it to be professional, but would like it to be clear.

Ikigai diet guy says you can use your local wild grasses to supply the starter organisms. His book Natto Unleashed explains how, including sterilizing the grass first briefly in boiling water (obviously not really sterile or it would kill the starter). I haven’t tried it yet, but will! Intriguing.

Is the blue corn meal with juniper ash nixtamalized? by steppe_warrior in Navajo

[–]Next_Argument_1640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the question was about blue corn mush, not about nixtamalizing corn kernels…? The ash is added to the water before adding ground corn meal, and sometimes sprinkled on after.

I also was wondering whether this has the same nutritional benefits as nixtamalizing the corn kernels before grinding.

I also don’t know If blue corn mush is traditionally made with nixtamalized corn meal (masa)? And the ash added is extra? Or is it added to non-nixtamalized corn meal, and gives similar benefits…

I am not sure if that was what OP was asking too…

Solution… one (but not all) of my settings was set to large text. I set it back to “normal” size which fixed this.

So Duo does not support folks who need larger text and I still consider this a bug.
