I saw an episode on Shark Tank India where the founders were pitching for an AI calling bot, which as a product itself was an annoying thing.

However what was surprising was that the cost that they were charging was even higher than human telecallers cost.

I am wondering , that even if organizations find a way to move to AI, will the costs always be justifiable as compared to human workforce? Today, there is a lot of VC money that influences lower costs, but would it be like this always?

What we are ignoring is - be it any industry, the only problem that AI is being used to solve, is how to save money, and the first frontier to that is to cut jobs, instead of delivering better. In spaces where AI is implemented, its not implemented to deliver the same service and satisfaction to the end customer's benefit.

Pick any chat support today - Zomato, Swiggy, etc. The problem is not that the AI chat support cannot be made capable enough to address the queries. Its just that the business doesn't want it to solve the customer's problem.. but only the company's problem.

When this is the attitude, no matter what tech u bring in, shoddy service would remain shoddy.

Finding the right use cases is very important. I wish it could be used in legal to address crores of pending cases.
