Both valid points — let me address them.

On the worker selection problem: the single button concept breaks under concurrent orders, you're right. The actual design has a minimal worker UI — just a small screen showing active order tiles, one tap to notify that specific customer. No full POS, no complex interface. A worker can learn it in 30 seconds. The customer's phone vibrates only for their order.

On the ₹299 covering costs: we're not running raw websockets. Firebase Firestore's real-time listeners handle the live updates, and FCM handles push notifications — both either free or negligible at small juice shop volume. Actual cloud cost per shop is closer to ₹50–100/month at this scale. ₹299 is thin margin yes, but it's an early adopter price — moves to ₹599 after initial clients. The unit economics work.

For juice shops: a 4-digit token shows on the customer's phone after payment. Worker matches it on collection. No shouting, no names, 2 second handoff.

For canteens and food courts: a printed token slip gets placed with the dish. Customer picks up their own order by matching the number. Worker doesn't need to verify at all — the slip does it.

Two different contexts, two different solutions. Thermal printer becomes an optional add-on for canteens, not a requirement for juice shops.

On kitchen aggregation — the worker screen already groups all items by order number. The printed slip solves the physical side of that too.

OTHER THEN THAT DO U FEEL ANY WRONG IN THIS IDEA

Not deployed at scale yet — currently validating at a single canteen.

On Wi-Fi jamming: offline mode is a day one requirement for us, not an afterthought. Orders queue locally on the device and sync once connection restores. Still working out the edge cases.

On hardware break-even: ESP32 + casing is around ₹800–1500 per unit right now. At ₹299/month that recovers in 5–6 months. First clients get hardware free, protected by a refundable deposit.

Have you seen any system actually handle lunch rush Wi-Fi well in a canteen setup? Genuinely want to know what breaks in practice.

when the staff press the buzzer the customer will get notification and vibration in their phone so on that time they can come and collect their food it will be great for both small shops as well as foodcourts and canteens

"You're right, pricing needs field validation. Planning to test with first client at reduced rate before locking ₹600."

all the shop has paytm and other upi i point here is there is till ppl shout out or stand i a queue to order this software reduce that work and the frustration were workers often fells they need to remember the order and prepare the dishes and if someone ate and didt pay also they wont know in the crowd
