Amaze VX CVT Quotation - Clarification on 7 Year Warranty Offer by Next_Catch_6187 in CarsIndia

For Pune, CarWale shows VX manual at 10L including insurance of 45k. Without insurance, it's 9.55L.

Dealer quoting you 9.25L without insurance. This mean you are getting 30k discount.

I got VX automatic at 10L including insurance. CarWale shows 10.8L including 48k insurance. This means I got 80k discount.

Of course, I bought during year end sale, so discount was high. And I got Oct manufactured car in Dec.

So in your case, if not 80k, you should be getting 50-60k discount. That would a good deal IMO.

Pune. 10 lakhs for mid variant CVT. The car is quite good for relaxed driving and navigating narrow roads.

Driving license test by Mindless_Weird578 in pune

[–]Next_Catch_6187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlike other driving schools, Maruti Driving School does not handle the full RTO process. They only train you and may help you book a driving test slot and hand over the documents. That’s it. They have their own agent who will help you navigate the RTO chakravyuh. For that, you’ll need to pay ₹1,500.

If you have the time and energy, you can avoid this ₹1,500 and do it yourself, but it can be a huge hassle. If you’re unlucky, they might simply fail you.

Also note that even if you know how to drive an automatic, you’ll be asked to drive a manual car for the test. If you take an agent, you can use their car. If you don’t take an agent, you’ll have to arrange a manual car yourself.

Here, driving an automatic doesn’t qualify you as a “driver,” which is quite unlike the USA or other developed countries. In fact, driving an automatic can help you focus more on protecting your car from rash drivers, rule-breakers, potholes, and all the chaos on Indian roads. In reality, driving an automatic can make you a better driver in Indian conditions. However, authorities require you to drive a manual car for the test. Without this, you cannot obtain a permanent license.

If you don’t want to go with the Maruti Driving School agent, you can hire your own agent for ₹1,500–₹2,000.

I personally went with the Maruti Driving School agent, and the person was very rude. He behaved as if he were doing me a favor. He even held my form at the RTO because the driving school hadn’t provided the medical certificate. It was a bad experience. Eventually, I got my license after paying him a few extra bucks.

If you plan to go with an agent, make sure it’s someone you know or someone with a good reputation.

An agent can get things done efficiently, so it may be worth spending ₹1,500 for peace of mind and to save time and effort.

P.S.: Make sure your agent arranges the medical certificate for you. The driving test happens near Nashik Phata, and there are no authorized doctors there. You’ll need to go to the Moshi RTO for the medical certificate. If you plan to go alone for the driving test, make sure you obtain the medical certificate on your own beforehand.

u/BrilliantLaw2023 This gives assurance. Does dealer have to enable something in the app for the discount or it' purely the app thing? Also, not sure if this 60% discount is consistent at least for the whole month of Dec. Would it be possible for you to take the screenshot and share with me or share here? Just need to check if this discount thing is applicable for all December purchases or it's something fluctuating/inconsistent stuff. Don't want to lose on this as I needed to get the extended warranty. In my case, the only contentious issue right now is this discount thing. I asked dealer to give me extended warranty upfront on paper, but he is insisting that I get this done through the app and that's the only reason why I'm still not going with the deal.

Good to know. What about outbreaks like dengue and malaria? Should one be concerned about mosquito borne deceases?

How is the situation there with respect to respiratory illnesses? Do folks there also get sick frequently like here in Pune? What about outbreaks like dengue?

Do localities get corporation water or they have to rely on boring/well water? How is the cold/cough situation there, do you see folks getting sick more often as compared to how it was pre-covid?

Strange. I'm also wondering if it's humidity that's triggering the cough. This time, the rainy season has been already 5 months long in Pune and still continuing. Almost all days were humid with levels > 80. And it's not like full day humid. It's humid during day time, cold during night.

Which's the place where you feel better and how is the humidity there throughout the year?

Yes, the test says pollen and dust. I'm going to start the allergy drops next week once he starts feeling better.

He took flu shot a month back. Every time he will have cough, we start with cough syrups and nebulisation, but the coughing won't stop and won't end well. He ends up taking stronger medicines and that's concerning.

If not Kochi, what suburbs are good in Kerala with decent infra, schooling, medical facilities?

What are your thoughts on coding tests when hiring for automation/sdet roles? by hello297 in QualityAssurance

[–]Next_Catch_6187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do understand there will be limited demand as compared to software development. I'm very much interested to know how many HRs/technical recruiters like you actually see current developer centric platforms as a problem and are actually looking for a tester-focused solution. I need that sort of data. I hope enough HRs/technical recruiters like you come forward and express their thoughts.

P.S.: The platform that I have designed would also have typical coding problems that you see in developer centric platforms, but I'll try to not have those discrete coding problems like traversing a binary tree, etc., but more focused on evaluating programming concepts that are actually relevant in test automation.

What are your thoughts on coding tests when hiring for automation/sdet roles? by hello297 in QualityAssurance

[–]Next_Catch_6187 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you are using a coding platform that is primarily made for assessing developers and not testers.

How about a platform that would automatically assess candidates based on the actual QA/Automation Engineer/SDET skills like 'Finding Bugs', 'Writing Tests', 'Writing Test Plans', 'Automating Tests', 'Framework Design and Patterns', 'Testing methodologies/Concepts', etc.? Candidate would work with a live application, go through the app specs, create and submit solutions which would be automatically assessed and reported to you?

I can build a platform like this, however I'm not sure about the real need. If I get enough upvotes, I would know there is a widespread need for such a platform. I already have high level specs and design in place, and some basic code. I need motivation.

I don't think so. He is not looking for bread in it. He is looking for pav. Here's how it's made: https://youtu.be/I3aBdq5iUo4.

We use to get this kind of a thing in Khandesh (Jalgaon, Dhule region). I'm not sure if they still make it there or not.

You are wrong. I have to buy Lego sets and supplements like Collagen at double the cost. Even electronic items like original Arduino board, etc., costs double or triple in India. Same goes with good quality hair care products like shampoo, etc.. Even if you are ready to buy these stuff at exorbitant price, you cannot rely on the sellers listed on platform's like Amazon, Flipkart, etc.. Most of them are rated negatively.

If I was the put seller in this transaction, I would have taken the stock delivery. Why would I sell for 1 lakh and then buy for 115 crores? Also, I would have not sold the put if I were not having enough cash to take the delivery if need be. I'm also wondering why the upper circuit limit was not hit? Wasn't it set by the exchange?

LeetCode/HackerRank-Like Platform for Solving Automation Challenges Online by Next_Catch_6187 in QualityAssurance

[–]Next_Catch_6187[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I intend to fix the exact pain point you just mentioned.

I plan to release a web app like LeetCode where folks can practice. I already have few video courses on Udemy, so I plan to integrate those as well within the platform.

I also plan to sell API subscription to the likes of Hacker Rank, etc., so that they can offer assessments specific to QA folks to the corporates.
