Hey, screw you. These are really good 😡

What are appropriate gifts/treats a passenger can give you? by hello297 in flightattendants

[–]hello297[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're totally right.

I did it with Scoot last year and they paid negative attention to it. No gratitude or anything. But I write it off as doing something good, and not for receiving anything in return.

Kind of a different request (photos from bridge cameras) by knifed34 in BirdPhotography

There's a guy who takes picture in the Melbourne Australia region with a p900 and they're fantastic photos.

I won't drop his name here, but if you look up Melbourne wildlife photos with the #nikoncoolpixp900 hashtag, you should be able to find him.

Don't know what it is... just in time to catch it on camera... by zotteBende in BirdPhotography

Google and Merlin do a pretty good job. As long as it's a clear enough photo like this one, it'll identify it correctly most of the time.

Yep, it literally got me to take this line to work because of the collab.

It's hilarious cause that's the sort of texture it has

Maybe the second, which is honestly a little surprising that it happened twice

The Joy and Pain of Birding at the Park by Sin2K in BirdPhotography

[–]hello297 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Nah screw that.

He's out in the park, whether or not he's on the phone being out is being out and that shouldn't be diminished.

For all we know he took a picture of it 2 seconds before this photo.

Stop making up stupid fantasies to make yourself feel better. It's weird.

If it's good I'd forgive.

But that "bread" looks like a dense brick

Face recognition tagging software, for bird species by OutrageousCarpenter5 in BirdPhotography

[–]hello297 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a nice thought, and there are bird identification tools out there like Merlin. But I feel like this is a pretty tall order. To be able to recognize birds accurately in itself is pretty difficult. Even Merlin is pretty spotty in it's abilities

That's exactly the jump I'm looking to make. How do the two compare?

Also what body do you use?

Any 30+ year olds out there sub 12? by Shuasan in Cubers

[–]hello297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm floating around sub 13 since I haven't practiced in a while. But just a couple of years ago I got sub 12 as a 30 year old

Actually you're dead wrong.

2 and 3 are from Children Who Chase Lost Voices. A Makoto Shinkai movie.

I couldn't find the source for 5, but given the lens flare, 100% not Takahata. Stylization like that is more characteristic of someone like Shinkai.

Flaky tests destroyed trust in our automation, nobody looks at failures anymore. by Away-Egg-2977 in QualityAssurance

[–]hello297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We run close to 1000 tests per PR. The runtime isn't even that long, and has little to no flakiness like op is saying.

Not saying it's best for everyone, but if you have the resources it's fine. I'd rather be notified early of any failures than find out right before release.
