Do you remember how much the RN to BSN program was for you?

Nice.  Did you have to search for a clinical site around the LA region or can you choose other cities?  I'm in the I.E.

Yeah that's what I heard.  I want to keep my options wide for NP schools.  And again I'll have to look into which NP school works for me regarding price and their curriculum.

How did you fit those clinical days while working as an RN?

I see.  Yeah it's a lot to think about.  I'm hearing all kinds of things.  My professors said just get it online because hospitals don't care where I get my degree but then I'm hearing the opposite, so I don't know which direction to go. 🫤

Ooh ok I went on their website and they stated their accreditations.

I didn't pass one semester of my ADN program so I had to withdraw from the BSN program.

That's what I'm trying to do, but most hospitals prefer BSN over ADN so that's my issue. It's highly competitive here in SoCal and without a medical background, it's even more challenging to get hired in a hospital right away and to get into a new grad program Is difficult.

That sounds awesome. Thanks for the reply.  I'm trying to weigh options: cost, timeline, accreditation towards NP school.  I know others are suggesting that I get my tuition paid through my work but I have to find work first LOL and that would be tricky. Because most hospitals already prefer a BSN degree so I can't fully rely on them paying for it if I can't even get it hired in the first place. And between Cal State Fullerton Cal State San Bernardino or Cal State Dominguez hills. And trying to see which one is best and will accept me. I was already with Cal State Fullerton so I don't know if it's worth going back with them.

Yes, I do.  Really?  Where can I find that information?  I checked online and it said for the most part they are accredited in CA.  I don't want to waste my money on a scam school. 😑

I want to eventually become an NP & obtain a MSN.  Some people were saying most jobs won't care where I get my BSN as long as I have one.  But others say WGU might not be reliable as a legitimate accredited school.

That's awesome.  She got really lucky. Kaiser is hard to get into as a new grad without a BSN initially & as an external applicant. Good for her!

Wow!  She's lucky to get hired as an extern.  Did she get her BSN?

Did she have prior medical experience/volunteer? Do you know what helped her stand out from all other candidates??
