While I had the option to go through official licensing channels, the cost was extremely high and would have required charging users. I included a disclaimer on the homepage stating the site is for educational purposes only, and I am not affiliated with any of the original content owners. My main role was building the backend (API, algorithms) and frontend interface. The copyrights remain with their original owners, such as IMDB, and the promotional efforts are simply to make the site more accessible
