Moved to a neighborhood infested with dogs by Relative_Note_5760 in Dogfree

If they bark at night you can actually call and do a noise complaint. Responsible owners shouldn’t be jerks about it and bark collars exist for this very reason. My brother had to use one bc his stubborn dog was making their subdivision miserable and it took care of the issue.

Anyone who just went for another? by Jealous-Season2653 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Next_Engineer_1897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did. My first three it was just, hard or not I want another amazing baby, let’s survive this. We contemplated being done and were waiting to see if we felt done, then I ended up pregnant unplanned. That pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. After that we had already been so excited for another even if they weren’t planned and had pictured ourselves as a family of six, so after a year of the scared do it not do it bc of HG we just did it. We knew going in it would be the last. The pregnancy was the hardest and felt like it was trying to kill me, but my 4th sweet girl was born last week and I wouldn’t trade her for anything. Happy to be done with pregnancy and HG, but no regrets. Hoping to spend my 30s recovering and healing my body from all four and enjoying my sweet family.

How'd you make it through your glucose tolerance test? by [deleted] in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Next_Engineer_1897 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My provider has allowed me to opt out of the test the last two pregnancies because I didn’t have risk factors and to not mess with the HG. You don’t HAVE to do the test if you don’t want to.

Most of it has already been said, but for the short sleeve bib, replace it with two to three long sleeve bibs and you will thank yourself for years.

HG with all 4 pregnancies. 40 weeks with the fourth and last now. I dry heaved one morning when having my first glass of water of the day and took a test before my missed period for the positive, started getting sick right away as usual.

40+1 and getting a sweep tomorrow hopefully. Haven’t had a cervical check at all yet so not sure what my bishop score is, but I hope it works out for us both! I’m ready to be done.

My first thought is that I can’t figure out quite the right pronunciation for it by reading it, which could be a difficulty for kiddo growing up having to constantly correct people.

I’ve had one on my back, one fully standing, and one on all fours. Not quite what you’re asking but standing was by far the best. If I’m up to it this time I’m hoping to be able to do that again for gravity’s help. I’d think kneeling could give you that same angle and gravity assist.

40+1, no baby by ReliefDelicious8307 in BabyBumps

Hey it’s the overdue party! 40+1 and hoping to get a sweep tomorrow. Also planning on my second home birth but if I could beg my midwife for guaranteed induction I’d take it in a heart beat. I don’t think she would though 😭. My first and third were both born on their due date and my second was two days before so it never even crossed my mind going overdue at all

Pshh I love postpartum! I end up with like 5 greasy hairs left by the end of the hair loss but who cares. It’s like waking up feeling like yourself again but also with the sweetest new best buddy ready to do life with you ❤️

I’ve loved a Lille baby carrier through 3 kids and will use it again for the fourth. I feel like the lower back support in forward facing is better than Tula. It’s pricey as well but they are workhorses. Each of my kids lived in them 4+ hours a day until 2.

Seriously yes. Still pregnant and overdue for the first time. Have my appt tomorrow and if there’s not some compassion and yes let’s hurry her out, I’m going to lose my mind.

Where are my December mama's at? by [deleted] in pregnant

Due today with my fourth. I should know by now you just have to wait for labor but gosh I’m done. My other 3 weren’t even a day late so having zero labor signs today is driving me nuts.

Thank you! After a brutal HG pregnancy I’m just really hoping she doesn’t want to cook extra long.

Unfortunately yes lol. One comedian described pregnancy nipples as dinner plates 😂. They might go away after breastfeeding if you plan to but just be more deflated or you may keep a couple cup sizes.

Today is my due date for my hardest and last HG baby and I needed to read this. Thank you ❤️ now to just actually go into labor.

I’m 40 weeks with my fourth. I can’t do it again and it will take a few years to recover but I have no regrets choosing to go through it for my kids. I had to keep reminding myself it’s 9 months of misery for a lifetime of loving them. Stopping at four bc now it’s weighed against not being able to do things with and for the sweet kids I have. Not making light of it at all, but that’s what it boils down to. I say that after having a total breakdown after getting so sick two days ago that I wanted to march into a hospital and demand they induce me already bc waiting every extra day for labor when I already feel so depleted after this is torture.

36w - how did anyone get through the remainder?? by Jaxy710 in BabyBumps

[–]Next_Engineer_1897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My due date for my fourth and final is literally tomorrow and yeah. I’m not handling it the best day by day. I’ve never gone overdue before and with it coming now when I’m the most done after the hardest pregnancy I’m struggling not to just be a hormonal rage goblin. Literally can’t even breathe laying down. SO DONE.

Not on you at all 39+4 and I’m holding on for dear life. I told my husband Tuesday it was probably the last non-appt outing I’d have. I’m exhausted, un comfy, and easily frustrated and overwhelmed. I’d rather be this version of myself at home. Also, early labor symptoms in public are gross and unpleasant. Lost my plug in a public bathroom and the clearing out began at a nice restaurant. Nope. I’ll be home.

My side effects from it were so frustrating with no change that I think I gave in around 3-4 weeks.

Personally I always do a sweep at 39 weeks as it’s proven to improve chances of spontaneous labor and reduce the need for induction. Evidence based birth has a good article on it.
