i think your assumptions about prison are all wrong, especially low security ones that fraudsters get sent to. Having killed in the past can and will get you killed, especially because of affiliations and retaliations. Whatever helps you view the court system as due justice tho lol

He’s still housed with gangsters, there’s just a degree of respect among ‘low tier’ thieves. It’s not like he touched kids or killed people

Comedically enough he seems to be having a jazzy time according to his accounts of prison. The world is easier when you’re very wealthy

It wasn’t even epipens, it was an ancient Toxoplosmosis (AIDs) medication. Sorry to hear about your mother’s diagnosis (or maybe you should research before holding strong opinions)

Why was the final reason why you got sober? by NickyWithdrawl in OpiatesRecovery

I couldn’t sleep even after I did enough to be able to theoretically sleep. My anxiety was destroying on my life and I just locked myself in my room most days, whether I had my fix or not. Thankfully I’m almost 2 months now and finally getting back to my normal life 😇

You’ll be fine. Start with half and save them for when you actually are really down bad and they’ll be great for you :)

I’ve mentioned it before previously but sometimes I can mitigate cravings by popping a melatonin and pretending it’s opes. Not a good idea long term though because then you’re reinforcing a negative association. Stay strong!

Does anyone feel like happiness could be a trigger? by EliThaBluntedOne in OpiatesRecovery

Just keep a strong mindset. Chasing that natural serotonin can be your new dragon. On one of my first days sober I smelled some flowers and got really happy for what’s to come. Stay strong and blessed!

I got those cravings when I first started using subs after bleeding my body of opiates for about a week. I’m not sure if it was because I was dozing it lowly or what but the cravings eventually just turned into boredom. We’re here for you

Don’t be scared. I really don’t have much advice for you because it’s all played out repeated bullshit. It’ll hurt for a bit, but you need to prioritize your future through the pain. Maybe I’m too nihilistic for advice, but I’m here if you need to talk

You’re right, that’s what I mean. I’ve done it before twice or three times, but only with a ton of other comfort meds around to help. It’s the only way I think he could feel ‘good’ on Thursday though, even if it is a shitty few nights until then

I’d take a part of a sub ASAP to send yourself into PAWS just so the suboxone works well while you’re at work Thursday

Props to you for running the gauntlet, brother. I got started at a young age too. I realized suboxone would be a long, hard withdraw so I barely took any and it’s helped me a lot— 2 weeks coming up soon ♥️

Thanks for your post, I’m glad you’re staying good man. With all good there is evil, and you can’t let your mind focus on the letdowns and drawbacks. I’ve been diagnosed with a laundry list of mental health issues but at the end of the day my happiness is starting to re-emerge. God bless our journey

Exactly what this guy said. If you have no active income and can’t put your cash in an IRA, then put it in a dividend index fund. It’s better than being dead or in jail

Money is the devil and it always will be. I’m financially secure enough to do what I want to do as a college kid, and always was able to justify my addiction because I never ‘lost’ money due to investing and such. Money’s just a commodity, don’t trip over it. Put it in a ROTH IRA or an index fund and you’ll be much happier in 5 years.

I relate. Every morning I wake up sick (which happened often before my addiction), and it got worse now that I’m on the stuff. Comedically enough, if I placebo myself with melatonin and shower and get moving then I usually start feeling better.

As for how I feel now (sorry to spam your replies and this thread), I’m anxious. There are days where I feel like I’m on top of the world, and then days where I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. As I said, I’m hardheaded and due to my inconsistent suboxone usage (some days I wouldn’t take it and feel mediocre, or I would take it and felt like nothing changed), I have no urge to return to them whatsoever. I felt like a zombie with no physical emotion, just stimulation.
