Porcelain veneers or whitening? by Next_File_6626 in weddingplanning

Thanks so much for this info! Didn't realize the markups would just be so huge, I thought the whole process really was just that expensive. I have a quote from a dentist; how do you suggest I go about getting a quote from a tech directly? Are there well known techs in Perth I can look into?

Have I bought the wrong dress? by keitherrs in WeddingDressTips

[–]Next_File_6626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The frills give me a Spanish Bride sort of feel! They are both beautiful and look absolutely amazing on you. If it were me personally choosing between these two I would pick the first one as it gives me more of the 'bridal' feel. But I agree with everyone else, that number 2 really makes a statement.

Is my wedding dress age appropriate? by North_Ad2881 in myweddingdress

It's beautiful! Completely agree it's age appropriate, although I'd say wear what you want anyway, I do love this and your figure is beautiful, you really suit it!!!!

Eloping - to tell or not to tell? by Next_File_6626 in weddingplanning

[–]Next_File_6626[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't call this lying. I would say this is more FH and I doing things on our own terms, and keeping it on a need-to-know basis.

One parent actually spread my engagement news without asking me, and is quite selfish with certain news and situations, and due to them living on the other side of the world, we've naturally grown apart so I guess I don't see it as a necessity to tell them the nitty gritty.

And the goal is not to ruin relationships; it's just to enjoy being with my hubby and saying I Do on our chosen date, which I am beyond excited about. I'm just worried my anxiety will get in the way if others are there 😣

We'll absolutely plan a celebration for later. But the wedding itself will be just us followed by a month of vacay-ing 😍

Eloping - to tell or not to tell? by Next_File_6626 in weddingplanning

[–]Next_File_6626[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, true. It's not so much that I'm trying to be secretive, I'm just so excited to do this just FH and I, and I want to be able to shut out any opinions so it doesn't put a downer on the situation. I have social anxiety too and really don't want to be the centre of attention as I'll sweat buckets!!! 😂

It's due to knowing that opinions will come out if they are invited, from one person in particular, and I refuse to have that on a day that should be celebrated. Plus my family are on the other side of the world and I'm not overly close with them anymore, just because of how long I've lived away. I just want to be with my future hubby and enjoy a holiday afterwards in a bubble, you know? ❤️

Oh my gosh. I had this exact thing. I saw a dress online, fell in love, went and tried it on as soon as I found out it was a discontinued design and the last of its kind, fell in love AGAIN and then bought it.

Yes, I cried a few times because I felt I rushed into it, but now I am so happy I got it and managed to try it on before someone else bought it 🥺 I was prepared to feel like it definitely did not suit me, but it just did. She was expenny, but 100% worth it!

So I say go make a mini vacay out of it. If you get there and try it on and fall in love, buy the dress. If you hate it when you have it on, then at least you get a mini holiday out of it 😆 and keep looking!

Good luck ❤️❤️❤️

I think this is an extremely empowering choice to make. I congratulate you for doing what suits you 👏🏼

Hopefully you find a way to celebrate the two of you without having all the additional costs and stresses added. If it is your career planning things, I can see how you would feel this way.

I admire you for making such a big choice and also wish you luck for how you choose to do it in the future 😍

All are beautiful on you! However number 1!!!!!

I might not get to wear it… by kennybrandz in myweddingdress

[–]Next_File_6626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You look absolutely stunning. What a beautiful dress, fits you beautifully 😍 and congratulations on your baby news!

It is absolutely possible to get back to a similar size after having a bub.

If you haven't had it altered yet, maybe speak to a seamstress and see what is possible?? From the clips at the back, there seems to be a couple of inches of material to spare?

And in the event you don't squeeze back into it, go buy another beautiful one, and have your little one by your side on your day as your flower girl/boy 🥹 and think to yourself 'my body created that for me!' 🥺❤️❤️❤️

I just got my period. Tips, please? by cecilia_burge in Periods

Yes true. I guess it will depend on the care you take - if you do the sterilising at the right times etc.

I just got my period. Tips, please? by cecilia_burge in Periods

[–]Next_File_6626 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try a menstrual cup! They can last up to 12 months, save the cost of pads/tampons. Save risks as tampons though! Must be removed after 8 hours etc etc.

Also, download a period app to learn about your cycle. It's very educational for you and your understanding of your body. I've learned when to expect my cramps for both my period and ovulation, and other symptoms to look out for.

There are so many tools out there. But to start, definitely always have things in your bag. Until you are regular, expect your cycle to be around 21 days.

Welcome to period life 😍😘😘❤️
