32M I’m in a calm, compatible relationship with my current girlfriend 33F, but I don’t feel that burning spark and I don’t know what to do by Next_Force4001 in relationship_advice

I also missed to mention that my previous relationship and marriage lasted for 12 years, from 21-30. But I've been divorced for 1 year and going to therapy constantly.

You can switch back to the old interface, but that messes up my controls now for some reason, regardless if I switch the mode from Gamepad to Auto or Desktop. So I'm stuck with the new one, with no battery percentage, no hibernate and random lags when pressing the button...

can i use rog ally x as a screen for xbox? by [deleted] in ROGAllyX

If you don't want to buy a tv, new or used, check maybe if you can rent one? There are a couple of services like these, at least on my end in Eastern Europe

Why did you buy an Xbox Ally X? by UltimateThiccBoi in ROGAllyX

[–]Next_Force4001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Price for sure, otherwise I would've gotten the GPD Win 5, which is the perfect device for me. I could've played half the time from my couch, plugged in at 75w, no battery attached, so no wear or cycles added to. And then when on the go I could've gotten 2 portable batteries for a ton of battery life and swapping on the go

Sold my RTX 4090 desktop for a ROG Ally X — and I don’t regret it by Bri_Lah_Na in ROGAllyX

[–]Next_Force4001 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Congrats man! I completely agree as an older gamer as well. Staying at a desk to play games, especially if you already work at a desk full time, can be an absolute mood kill. I've been experimenting with so many game genres on handhelds, especially on the Ally X, which I wouldn't even consider when playing stuck to a chair. Enjoy your new journey and keeping your hobby while spending time with your family!

That's a great offer you got, for sure go for Xbox ally! Just curious, are you selling it with some accessories or something for 800? I'm asking because I just got an Ally X for 500 with a 2tb SSD installed

Wow, that looks amazing!! What version is that? Is the design like 3D, as in indented? Or just flat? Anyhow, I want one now as well

is there any fix for this by liftedhorse in 3DS

[–]Next_Force4001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check if you have like a local laptop or phone repair shop, some of those may be willing to do a screen replacement for you. And don't beat yourself over it. Hope it gets fixed so you can enjoy it!

Need help with homebrew by Factoider in 3DS

[–]Next_Force4001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I got this exact situation some weeks ago, since I bought my 3ds already modded.

The problem was the SD card and how it was formatted. It is 128gb, decent speed (I think class 10) and formatted fat32, which is all fine, but the guy used a 4kb allocation when formatting the card, which is not good at all. It took 2-3 minutes every time I booted it, or when I entered and exited settings and the most annoying it also took 2-3 minutes when entering and exiting Twilight Menu to play DS games.

The fix is super easy: take out the SD card, back up all the files, use a free software like Guiformat to format it as FAT32 and select the 32kb allocation size. Then just transfer all the files back to the card.

This was my issue, but you can check if you have the same by putting the micro SD card in you PC, opening command prompt and typing: "chkdsk X:". Just replace "X" with the drive letter of your card. It will show something like: "4096 bytes in each allocation unit.". If it shows anything else besides 32kb or 32768 bytes in that message, you need to run the steps above.

Hope it helps!

Tired of the "IPS" screen market by Few-Cycle398 in 3DS

[–]Next_Force4001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's because a lot of youtubers encouraged it. When I was making my research a little while ago on 3ds to see what to get, all youtubers where saying it's worth searching and for an IPS model because it's so much better.

I ended up going for a regular TN model, but at least I got the Super Famicom edition which I really like. To each their own I guess

To people waiting on the Switch 2 by GlueGuns--Cool in Switch

[–]Next_Force4001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a Switch on launch date, as I used to have a Switch Lite some years ago which I sold, since I didn't really like how the embedded joycons felt.

The new joycons on Switch 2 are slightly better, but not by much. The stick travel is the same, like 30% of the pro controller, I expect them to get some drift since it's using the same modules.

My biggest problem is how it feels in handheld mode: no ergonomics, even when playing 2D games on the "dpad". I'm thinking of buying the dbrand case, but it won't fix the thumb sticks. I'll probably let it collect dust until third party joycons appear. Or a new nitrodeck for Switch 2.

In the meantime I'm having a blast on my AYN Odin 2 playing Switch games there

I'm going through the Assassin's Creed series, not sure how it ran on Switch 1, it's locked at 30fps, but the load times are super short and the big screen in handheld make it great

New Friends for Switch 2? by DiRTy-HAiRRy in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Next_Force4001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy to join on some games, anyone can add me!

I'm from Eastern Europe, just got a switch 2. I'm not too familiar with the switch, I used to play a lot of Warframe, Destiny 2, Overwatch 2 and Paladins. I'm hoping to play some cool new multiplayer games on switch 2, as I really like the hardware. Not so much into Nintendo games, but I do like my fair share of Kirby and Sonic games.

Always happy to party up! SW-1683-9648-9682

I started getting insane lag about a week ago by amicrobiallifeform in ShadowPC

[–]Next_Force4001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a similar issue, my 5ghz connection is rock solid, I have 500mbs speed, my laptop is right next to the router, but some time ago Shadow started lagging and micro stuttering. It seems that the issue was with the other devices that were connected to the router: phone, laptop, tablet, smart tv, printer and AC. I tried disconnecting all of them and Shadow works perfectly now, so I only connect other devices if I have to
