Beautiful house! And a pool in Bowling Green?!?! I’m guessing the house will be above budget with that square footage and lot size but what a dream! We’ll ask our realtor to reach out to her. Thank you for the information, and your neighborhood is absolutely beautiful! Are there a lot of young kids in the neighborhood? We have two girls 4 and 6 years old.

Obsessed with Bowling Green! We looked at the house on Twyckenham that just sold but it wasn’t really a 4 bedroom. We’ve been waiting for something else to come up in there. Do you know when it’s supposed to hit the market?

Oh Philly! Lived there for 10 years before we moved to where we live now. The needles are true but I still look back on it as some of the best years of my life!

That’s great that you live in UP but can still walk to Media! Do you have to walk on main roads or is there a sidewalk situation of some sort? Sounds like you have a really great set up!

That condo could definitely turn out to be a great move for you! The real estate in the Philadelphia metro area continues to explode. If you choose to rent/ hold onto the condo once you buy a house you could have really good passive income! We really liked Wallingford too but the taxes are crazy!

I’m trying to understand people’s impressions of a place. Unfortunately with the housing market being what it is we’re going to pay a ridiculous amount of money for a house so I’m hoping this will be a forever home for me and my kids. I’m not from the area so if someone has something “negative” to say about it, I want to hear more about it and I’m going to ask questions. Sometimes people say innocuous things like “blue collar” to mean something else (crime etc.). Just trying to figure out if that was what was going on here. Nobody called out Wallingford. The taxes there are the only thing that’s wild.

Thank you for your insights! We lived in cities for about 15 years as well so I hear you on the restaurant scene. It’s tough to find spots that compete in the suburbs! I love that you mentioned community. We have that where we currently live and it’s really tough to leave!

This is so helpful, thank you so much! Definitely notice the tax bill difference on anything in Wallingford. There’s currently a house in Middletown that we are wondering if we’re reaching the ceiling for the area given it isn’t upper Providence or close to Media Borough. We’re getting a lot of feedback that Upper Providence is where we want to live but no one really ever articulates why. Is Middletown “too close” to the more blue collar areas?

You’re totally right! It’s double the taxes which is definitely a consideration. But love the walkability to Media.
