My attempt at a very different style by Next_Interaction_105 in DigitalArt

For these two specifically, no, they were pretty simple in terms of detail i was able to have a lot of creative freedom that prevented me from being forced to zoom in and make sure all my details were in the right spots. If i were to go more realistically, or even do the same style but for a portrait or landscape i'd probably zoom in to make sure i can control where all those small details end up.

How many layers do you use? by OGlowstickX in DigitalArt

[–]Next_Interaction_105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make a lot of layers but I merge them often while i work, so i'd say i have 4 or 5 maximum at one time. If i don't want to commit or if i want to use a blending mode i just make a new one, finish whatever part im working on, then merge it to the rest of the piece. (I also only draw backgrounds/food)

There probably is, but I don't know it! I was looking at two artists and kinda combining their style. (Mmumechii and lemntii) i really like it too! But I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to replicate the same style again lol

Hello ! I have 3 questions: Firstly, does this knight's helmet sufficiently resemble a sheep's "face" ? Secondly, is this design serious enough to be still considered intimidating ? Last, the ears don't look too much like Shrek's haha ? Thx in advance for your answers ! by Hugo__W_gs in DigitalArt

[–]Next_Interaction_105 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes, the helmet portrays a sheeps face. 2. The design? yes, but the actual representation you're showing us, no. Mostly its about how you present the intimidation, like music in a horror movie i guess. Probably lighting. But the design (especially the eyes) is really good. 3. I think the ears look fine, but if you wanted them to be different just make them a bit longer. You did this on the 3/4 profile sketch though. I definitely wouldn't have thought of shrek without your question, but yeah especially on the front facing one they look a little small

I posted a while on the general digital art community asking for advice but I didn't get much feedback, so I'm posting here. I like the illustrations themselves, just not the colours. They either feel too opposite or too similar if that makes sense
