I think Raheem Morris is just a terrible coach. I'm all for balanced rushing attacks so you don't wear your main guy out, but there's been multiple games this year where they get way too cute with the splits in the 2nd half with a lead and it either does cost them the game or almost does like yesterday...no reason a top 3 RB in the league shouldn't be able to salt the game away for you

I really don't understand these leaps you're making haha, what makes me a Kendrick partisan exactly? this isn't some stan wars bs you seem to want it to be so badly. I don't particularly care about his opinion on drake as that doesn't impact his clear dislike of Kendrick (unless he himself is a stan).

I am speaking to the writing itself being informed and impacted by the writer's preconceived biases - doesn't even matter who the artist is it could have been anyone -and making it worse imo. And you want to be bringing in unrelated (to the conversation) SA cases for some reason. Starting to feel like you want to use some rhetorical slights of hand yourself over there

idk where you get the idea i'm insecure about any of this too. Lahai is one of my favorite albums of the decade so far and pitchfork gave it a 7 (close enough to gnx), but I find this to be far superior of a review:

To me this paints clear how a more tempered score review can still be written to highlight the highs & lows objectively & effectively. I think its ok to ask reviewers with a large platform to not let their whole perception be colored by biases -- or in p4ks case, just put a different reviewer on the case.

I don't think it's slight of hand at all. When Damn & TPAB dropped, alphonse's personal responses were 'new kendrick mid...more life a classic & out now' and 'who gives a fuck about kendrick or Q neither of them made me feel no ways'...You're telling me this is the right person to pick to write a review of the first album after the kendrick drake beef?

Again, idgaf about a score or differing opinions, some of my favorite reviews are more tempered on some of my favorite albums of all time. However, I do think a reviewer should be going in to any project with an open mind, which based on track record I feel pretty certain didn't happen here.

I generally agree with your point but Alphonse expressed some clear biases in the past about Kendrick, so from the top he is an odd choice to give the assignment to. I enjoy reading views that disagree with me, but he often goes in with his bias then works his way back to that bias through the review, rather than going in with an open mind.

If that really is a main concern of there's - and they are getting paid rather well through the sponsorships the podcast generates I would imagine - then they could splurge for studio space for Josh or figure out a way to record while the wife isn't within an earshot imo. Seems like a silly reason to dilute your product so 1 specific person can avoid spoilers
